I LOOOOVE this show! The characters, dialoque and situations are absolutely hysterical. I am so glad this DVD finally came out....CBS keeps switching the time slot around and there doesn't seem to be any advertising for when the show airs. I don't understand why the network doesn't do more to promote this comedy gem. My husband and I watched these DVDs all the way through three nights in a row. Patrick Warburton is the funniest man on television!!!! This show needs to start getting the love it deserves!!!!

The most under rated program on TV. Season five continues the excellence. So, as for packaging, as others have said this is a DVD manufacture on demand. The outside of the packaging is fine, the inside is basically blank and the graphics on the DVD are rather primitive. The picture quality and sound are excellent and, after all, that's why I bought it.

Contains 26 episodes, 24 episodes aired as season 5 and two episodes from season 6 (Cheating and Scavenger Hunt which hasn't aired yet!). My understanding is that the 26 episodes were all shot at the same production period but only 24 were aired as season 5. The episodes are also in a slightly different order than aired. Packaging is good, looks like a normal DVD production run even though it is a DVD-R (Manufacture on Demand). Disappointed that it is presented in Stereo and not 5.1 like the other seasons. The aspect ratio is 1.78:1 even though at the time of this review Amazon lists it as 1.33:1.

But how could they not? It is one of the few remaining funny sitcoms.

I LOVE this show but the season 5 and season 6 DVDs that I bought from AMAZON are not the original. They are plain white DVDs, they have a very basic menu with no pictures or music, and some of the episodes are out of order so I had to print off the order of the episodes off the internet and then choose from the menu which episode is supposed to come next. Too bad I didn't watch these DVDs within the return period or they would be going back.

If you own any of this tv series then you absolutely need this season. It is a show that only gets better as it goes on. And this was the shows first full season containing 24 episodes. So this is definitely worth the purchase.

....Rules of Engagement "doesn't get no respect"! Rules is one of the funniest shows to come along since the Office and the cast of characters meld together perfectly nearly each and every show. I really don't know what CBS was thinkin' when they pushed them over to Saturday...that's a death slot for any show. Hopefully the "brainiacs" at CBS will come to their senses and give the show a good slot again. Rules is must see TV!
