Way too much talking about himself and way way too little playing. I bought one of his DVDs. Won't make that mistake again.

This vaguely titled instructional video delivers less information than can be found browsing youtube or the internet for 10 minutes, it's 30 minutes long. When the instructor isn't saying "oops" or "oh, I mean e minor" he shows a lick, then spends what seems like an eternity on it as he plays it over and over again. This isn't the standard I'll play it slow and tab it out for you type thing, it's I will play it slow then spend an eternity playing it faster and faster until I max out my speed, then keep playing it until I get bored with it type instruction. The sound quality is pretty poor, I can't tell if it's his guitar/amp set up or just shoddy recording, but I doubt there was enough in the budget to work that out as stated previously none of his mistakes are edited out. My own personal nit pick, usually country is played on telecasters and not hot rod strats. Overall I would definitely avoid paying for this video. At the start of the video he talks about Brent Masons hot licks video, buy that instead, or if you're just starting out country guitar in six weeks.
