My 2 year old loves this toy.
Ashlee
There is plenty to do on it from making bones, socks, more puppies, bacon, etc but he just really loved cranking the kibbles.
Treasure
The kids get so creative and really enjoy themselves.

Little folks love animals. This pup can be pretend fed, and cuddled, and it holds up, while a mold turns out puppies which are kept in a nursery bed, and fed food prepared in the kibble maker...lots of variation possibilities, such as decorating the pup, making footprints with the pup in flattened play-doh, and as a bonus, the top of the head has small openings where strings of play-doh are pulled through and 'hair' appears, which can be color changed, braided, curled, whatever. Fun concept. Sturdy toy.

On a rainy day our three year old (soon to be four year old) daughter Over the last year or two our family has started playing with Play Doh - it beats having her watch "Peppa the Pig", "Peter Rabbit", "Doc McStuffins", "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", "Backyardigans", or "Sofia the First" ... all of her favorite TV shows.

The Play Doh Puppues Playset ranks up with the Play Doh Drill N Fill Playset as out overall favorite. While my wife and I need to help our daughter with some of the molds she really loves making and giving the doggy treats, bones, and making a bed for its puppies. In a world of motorized and talking gadgets it nice to have something that helps use some artistic expression and imagination for play.

Notes-

- Comes with four cans of Play Doh- tan, brown, white, and red

- Placing Play Doh in the puppies head will let you do two things (either separately or together) - By placing Play Doh in the head and pushing down will allow the puppies tongue extend and/or cause its hair to grow.

- A doggy treat and food maker will let you make very real looking food. Twisting the treat maker may be difficult for children under three.

- Molds are located throughout - for making bones, teddy bears, fire hydrants, bacon, steaks, and even puppies!

- Comes with a doggy dish and bed

- Clean up can be a bit of challenge when trying to get all of the Play Doh out of the presses

Final Verdict- It may be a bit of a challenge to clean up, but the Play Doh Puppies Playset is a perfect toy for children on a rainy day. Recommended.

This is a great playdoh toy. My 2 yr old son loves making dogfood. Definitely one of the better playdoh toys out there.

Bought this for my 2 1/2 year old son, but it was really his 3 1/2 year old sister who enjoys it much more. The best part is the dog food maker- really cool how it makes stars and little kibble bits. There are a LOT of molds- bones, a ball, puppies, bacon, etc- but all of them are on the dog- so there's a mold under each ear, molds on his back and legs which you then have to shove the play doh into in order to make the items (versus having a free-standing cookie-cutter type mold). This is a bit of a downside to the product, becuase it's a little difficult for a 3 year old. But, with adult help, it's been a popular toy in our house.

My 2 year old loves this toy. She asks to make purple dog food every day. She loves the dog food maker! I like it too because it makes four shapes of food (oval, star, rectangle, triangle), and I can ask her to pick out the shapes. There is a lot of opportunity for language learning/practicing with this toy -- lots of different items with which to play. My daughter also enjoys making the puppy have play doh hair. She needs help with all of the activities, but it is a fun thing for us to play together. Like a previous poster, I appreciate that it is not too terribly difficult to clean.
