This kit has a nice variety of Play Doh tools. I do wish that the roller was more of a rolling pin, so the ends actually moved instead of being all one piece. I think this set is a good starter kit for younger children just getting introduced to Play Doh. It has a few colors, a few cookie cutters, and the basic squeeze-and-squish tools. And, of course, the scissors are a must! My kids really enjoy this kit.

My sons (5 and 2) love this toy. I've never seen my 2 year old so engaged. My older boy loves to use the playdoh press to made "spaghetti" and other shapes. My 2 year old laughs hysterically when the playdoh squirts out of the press.
The kit includes lots of fun tools: roller, cookie cutters, press, playdoh, forms, knife, scissors.
The scissors are especially great for improving my older boy's cutting skills. As with many boys, his fine motor skills are slower to develop. A rolled out "sheet" of playdoh is just the right rigidity to practice cutting. (Paper is flimsy and flops over, making it harder to cut.)
We love mixing the playdoh colors and seeing what color comes out. (In the end, it is greyish green. Oh, well, it's a learning experience too.)
Great toy for developing fine motor. I love the fact that this is a plain kit--not a cake making kit or a hotdog stand or some kind of specialized kit that makes the kids only do one thing. This opens their minds to endless opportunities.
I agree with the other reviewer. The canister is small. The items must be put back in order (large items first). That is a drawback for small children. In the end, this drawback will be a learning tool as we explore spatial reasoning.
