...and that would be my decision to ever purchase this product. Play-Doh Plus will seduce you with its softness and malleability, as well as its assortment of colors. But make no mistake - PDP will leave you with nothing but regret, and cause you to reconsider certain choices you have made in your life that led you down this horrible, horrible path.

PDP is not durable at all. It will stick to everything, making it impossible to clean up, as you would with normal Play-Doh. And if you leave it out overnight, it doesn't even harden properly. It just sort of....crumbles. And it will get EVERYWHERE. After normal use by average children, Play-Doh Plus can be found in more places than cheese in a Pizza Hut pizza.

I have been attempting to clean this up from our family's last molding misadventure, but at this point, I am considering burning down my house and taking the insurance money. As it is, I am just tired and alone, playing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" on repeat.

Please learn from the valuable experiences of others. Regular Play-Doh is a fantastic product, and has withstood decades of children molding, shaping, and eating it. But in the 21st century, some marketing wizard who deserves a pink slip came up with softer Play-Doh, and is ruining the lives of everyone in its path.

Stick with a good thing - or a bad thing will stick to you.

If anyone has an obsession in which they love scraping the inside of play-doh molds with toothpicks, you are welcome to have my 8 cans of Play-Doh Plus. It's not sticky enough to itself to be gathered up as regular play-doh, but it sure sticks every where else! I spent 3x as long cleaning up the molds as my preschoolers spent playing with it. Stay with traditional Play-Doh.

I have family full of kids who love their Play-Doh, and when we recently got the Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe Frosting Fun Bakery Playset, it came with two samples of the Play-Doh Plus. It said it was easier to extrude for making fine details similar to decorations. The kids were eager to see what they could accomplish with this cool new stuff in the neat purple tubs.

To describe it, it feels a little more dry than regular Play-Doh, with a bit of a stickiness to it and less a tendency to adhere to itself. When we put it in the extruder tube, it came out easily (not as hard to push through as regular play-doh) and held its shape. However, it was hard to clean out of the tube later because it tended to coat the sides with a thin layer of Play-Doh. Normally you can use a ball of Play-Doh to "pick up" loose pieces, but we were surprised to find that the loose pieces didn't adhere to the ball of Play-Doh that well.

All in all, I didn't see the point, but my son asked me to buy him more of it! If you want to make very realistic frosting for some reason, it seems like it is a good solution and works well. But for general fun and enjoyment, just stick with the classic.

TRUST ALL THE REVIEWS THAT SAY DON'T BUY IT.

My daughter (age 2.5) recently discovered the Disney Collector lady on YouTube, who constantly talks about making things with Play-Doh Plus. She asked me to buy this for her when we were at Target the other day... without knowing what it was, I said, OK! And purchased this 8 pack.

I REGRET IT SO MUCH.

This stuff SUCKS, but my kid is addicted to it. Sure, it's soft and fluffy and looks like ice-cream or whipped cream. But UGH. It gets EVERYWHERE. It just sticks and sticks and sticks. She tries to make dresses for her Magiclip dolls, and the Play-Doh Plus just gets into every single nook and cranny. I HATE THIS STUFF SO MUCH.

Regular Play-Doh will just kinda stay balled up - so you can pick it up pretty easily. This stuff smears, gets into everything, and then when it dries, it crumbles into a million little fine pieces. You can't really make anything except ice-cream swirls with it, because it's too soft to hold its form.

But again, my daughter is addicted to this stuff and asks for it EVERY SINGLE TIME we're out.

HASBRO, PLEASE DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT. PLEASE. From a mother who is sick and tired of picking up Play-Doh Plus in every crevice of her house.

This stuff is THE worst. I bought the candy factory and thought I'd pick up these for extra colors. Never again. This stuff is so soft it just gets stuck in everything. I spent so much time trying to get this crap out of the machine, it would have been more time effective to smash said machine to smitherines, earn money to buy a new one, and buy a new one. I can think of many ways I'd rather spend my time than dealing with this devil's doh ever again. Such as a gynecological exam being proformed by Freddie Krueger or Thanksgiving dinner with the Manson family. Seriously, it's awful. The only time this would be appropriate is if you were buying it as a "hate gift". You have to go to a birthday party for that crappy kid next door with the parents who have half assembled cars in their yard? Then and only then, is this for you.

Got this in a birthday cake molder set. Three small cups of regular (the good stuff) and two smaller portions in same size cups of this. This stuff is awful. Pretty- but this stuff is truly the devil in disguise. I feel the need to warn other parents- do not put this horror in your household. It sticks to everything making clean up a long journey to the depths or Modor- except for instead of getting the ring in to the pit you are throwing out all the molds and toys and cutouts of rug it touched. One other reviewer said the only reason to purchase this is for the parent you despise of the kid you have to attend a birthday party of. I think that would be perfect.
