DP proves that they know how to "Play",

This review is from: Play (Audio CD)
This is the album that got me hooked.I saw them open for Better Than Ezra, and found myself buying DP merch rather than BTE after the concert. It's great cruising music, kind of like Dave Matthews sprinkled with a bit of Bosstones and a twist of Rusted Root. Upbeat tunes like the title track, "Play", wil keep your toes tapping. DP also has a softer side, with songs like "Marry" that make you want to hold the one you love. More mature than their first release, Scattered Pieces, Play proves to be worthy of a mainstream music audience. Just give these guys time and the next thing you know they'll have an interview with Carson Daly. |
