I bought this toy for my 4 year old son's birthday. My Five 1/2 year old loved it and immediately picked it up. It was just challenging enough for my 4 year old to learn without being too hard that it is frustraing. Frequently, games designed for this age -be it computer or for the TV are too difficult for their stage of development to learn. This wasn't. My son liked the way the device vibrates and the tools light up to reinforce which one to use. I do wish there were a way to adjust the difficulty for my older children, but for a 3-6 year old this is the perfect "driving" toy. It allows them to be succesfull and challenges their hand eye coordination as well.

My child is a Rescue Heroes fanatic so this purchase was mandatory. Of all the Rescue Heroes products we have I like this one best. We have some of the CD-Rom products but they are just not that engaging. This toy looks fun, it has really fun graphics and the missions are fun and rewarding for younger players. My youngest son really got into it and he is just 4.This was money well spent in our house. Check it out!

I just purchased this product and my 5 year old can't stop playing. And in fact, my 3 year old, who can't quite grasp the controls, loves just watching the cars and boats move on the TV. I even sat down and played for awhile when nobody was looking, it can be quite fun and addictive!

This item is a great idea for the younger children...I bought this for my three year old for christmas. And he LOVES it! And though my son whom is 6 yrs. old also played with it...It really wasn't a challenge. Though he LOVES Rescue Heroes...He likes pretending to be in the vehicles and putting out fires and rescueing people. Which I find myself occassionally reminding him that he needs to leave his little brother have a turn. For small children...I think the item is WELL worth what I paid for it. You can sit a rescue heroe in this game and pretend he is at the wheel. Which my youngest LOVES to change the people with each mission. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this item. BUT if you have a child that is 5yrs. old and good at Playstation or something like that. YES...I could see this leaving them with no challenge. BUT...If your young child don't have those...Then I think even they would love to have this toy. But I would say...3-4 yrs of age would be perfect...My 3 yr. old is a second child...So he seems quicker on games since he plays with his older brother. It may still be hard for some 3 yr. olds...I know after having friends over...Some very happy children found parents purchasing this very item for them. ~Smiles...Really a cute idea...

This toy might be worth it if priced at 14.99, but certainly not at 49.99. We bought this for my five year old on his birthday and he was bored with it within an hour. The graphics and sound are similar to what you would find in 10 year old video games, but the real problem is the lack of any challenging aspect to the game. The missions are very simple and are easily completed, even during the first attempts at using the game. And the controls were not fluid - steering the vehicle requires stopping, adjusting the direction, moving forward, stopping again to adjust direction, etc.. Overall, this toy is simply not worth the price. I can't comment on the durability as we are returning after two days of use.

My son received this for his 4th birthday and enjoyed it that day, and maybe once since then. The games are too easy and he got bored quickly even though he has never played anything like it before. I would not recommend for any age because my 2 year old just can't quite do the controls and understand game and it is too simple for a 4 year old. Maybe a 3 year old would enjoy?

My five year old got this for Christmas and he was bored within an hour. He loves Rescue Heroes and so we thought this was a great gift, but the missions were so easy that he had no challenge. Our 2 1/2 year old picked up the controls and could play the game with a little challenge, but that is probably about the age level this game would provide a challenge to, not to 5 year old or older.

Everyone loves being the hero or good guy. I bought this for my 6 year for his birthday. What a FUN and EASY TV Game. He really enjoys the scenes and rescue missions that he plays in. The graphics are great for the price and the quality is good. Don't expect PS2 graphics! I was impressed when my son actually listen and follow instructions to use a helicopter. This is hard to find.
