This review is from: Play Good Old Rock & Roll / Dave Clark & Friends (Audio CD)
This is a bootleg release from dubious sources. I have no idea why Amazon even allows this to be listed, but do yourself a favor and save your money.
There is NO legitimate issue of this "2-fer". If you see this release, it's a bootleg.

I like my Dave Clark Five Complete History Volume 6 CD. It has songs that were written by Chuck Berry, such as Sweet Little Sixteen, Rock and Roll Music, Memphis, Tennessee, and Reelin and Rockin." It has songs they covered that were originally done by Little Richard such as Good Golly Miss Molly, Lucille, and Keep on knocking." It has another song they covered that was done originally by Jackie DeShannon. The name of this song is "Put a Little Love in Your Heart." It has 1 song they covered that was done originally by Tommy James. The name of this song is "Draggin the Line."Play Good Old Rock & Roll / Dave Clark & Friends
My first favorite music group that was born in the United Kingdom is the Dave Clark Five. My first favorite album by this group is the History of the Dave Clark Five 2 CD set. Disc One for this album has the version of "Bits and Peices" with the hand claps and tamborine. The version of "Catch Us If You Can" on this album is a little bit slower than the other version on the Complete History Volume 2 CD. The Complete History Volume 1 CD has the "Bits and Peices" version with no hand claps and no tamborine. My Dave Clark Five Greatest Hits CD has 33 songs. It has 2 different versions of "Catch Us If You Can." One of them is on track 19 in mono and the other one the on track 33 in stereo. The stereo version is a little bit faster than the mono version. The version of "Catch Us If You Can" on the Complete History Volume 2 CD is a as fast as the stereo version on the Greatest Hits CD on track 33. The version of this song sounds better on the Complete History Volume 2 CD than the stereo version on track 33 on the Greatest Hits CD. Everyone of the songs on the History of the Dave Clark Five album are recorded in mono with no static. That's why I like this album better than any other album by this 1960's british invasion group. Everyone of the songs on these Dave Clark Five Complete History CDs Volume 1 through 7 are recorded with a little bit of static. This means the recording of the music on these 7 Complete History CDs is not as good as the recording on the History of the Dave Clark Five 2 CD set is.The History Of The Dave Clark FiveTHE DAVE CLARK FIVE GREATEST HITS(Australian Import)The Dave Clark Five Complete History Volume 2: COAST TO COAST/WEEKEND IN LONDON/HAVING A WILD WEEKENDThe Dave Clark Five Complete History Volume 1: Glad All Over/Return!/American TourThe Dave Clark Five Complete History Vol.3: I Lke It Like That/Try Too Hard/Satisfied With YouFive By Five 1964-69 / If Somebody Loves You DC55 By 5,you Got What It Takes, everybody KnowsThe Complete History Volume 4 |
