Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

Northwest rockers Jet City Fix make some rude noise on their debut, kicking out a mix of straight rock and glam-influenced punk. With a commitment to garage aesthetics and rowdy lifestyles, the quintet sounds like Rocket From the Crypt without a horn section or the Supersuckers without the rockabilly traces. "Dumb Luck" combine punk and loud emo—it sounds like Green Day covering a Weezer tune. The band’s stripped-down approach and fluency with a variety of styles feels both immediate and well-rehearsed; we'll see how well it ages. For now, the obvious fun they had recording Kill is enough to make it appealing. --Matthew Cooke

5.0 out of 5 stars Great rock from the Northwest, October 10, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Play to Kill (Audio CD)
The northwest has had some amazing bands come out of it in the last few years or so, and the Jet City Fix is no exception. This cd is awesome. It lets all those inhibitions of yours go, and you just rock away with the cd. Some of my favorites off the album are, The Life, Sick of Drugs, Love it or Leave it, Jet Citys Rockin and Bullet. For those of you who dont know, Jet City is also the nickname of Seattle.

If you've ever seen them live, you know they throw a killer show. Shane, the lead singer has energy to blow you away that makes you wanna jump in and rock with him. Along with his bandmates, they are one of the best bands to come out of the NW in my opinion.

If you like bands like AC/DC, TBS, or S.T.U.D, this is a band for you. I highly recomend checking them out and buying this cd.

The Jet City Fix is a wonderful local band with a lot of potential. They put on some of the best shows. This album shows how hard they can rock. Its not the typical music you hear on the radio its something different. I recommend buying this album.
