This review is from: Play Money: Coins and Bills Tray (Toy)
This set comes with $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 bills. The coins include pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, 50 cent pieces. There are many different sets out there with different amounts of bills and coins, depending on your need. This set contains just enough for my daughter and I to effectively play "store". It will easily support four people's "wallets" with enough left over for change.
This play money is some of the most realistic play money I have seen. It really looks like real US currency, which has helped me "play store" with my daughter and teach her how to count money and make change. It is slightly smaller than real US dollars and change, but because the look is so real, she is easily able to make the transition between real and play money. The paper used on the bills is thick, making it sturdier than other play money sets I have seen. It is even thicker than money that comes with some board games. I highly recommend it for any parent looking for play money to teach their kids about real US currency. The tray that comes with it is not useful if you want to keep all the bills and coins separate. You will need a separate container because all of the bills stack on top of each other. It also stacks pretty high and full and does not come with a cover, so you can't use the tray to store the money unless you put it somewhere where it won't get knocked over or jostled. It is also thin plastic, and not very sturdy. I bought the money with a printer calculator and some carbon-copy receipt pads (all available through Amazon.com) so we can play "store". This whole "play set" was cheaper than a toy cash register and my daughter can really add up totals and figure out tax, as well as practice her writing skills by using the receipt pad. Just an idea for any parents out there whose kids like to play store as much as mine!

I was very pleased when this arrived. The papter money looks more real than any I have seen before, and I am sure my granddauther will find it useful and be well on her way to learning to make change, etc.

My grandchildren love to play store and I wanted to get them some play money that looked more realistic than the fake looking set that they had. This set was great and very "real" looking. I was happy with the quality and the price, as well. The children loved it, and continue to play store for hours with their new money.
