We have been collecting all of the Calico books for our 17 month old. This one was very useful when she got to the "mine" stage. Very good book for toddlers!

but not with this book. Calico learns that playing nice makes you feel great, and it teaches about empathy for others while still enjoying our accomplishments. My son loves it and when ever he is not been very kind, we always say "Play nice Calico! Ooops Frankie!" It always incurs a little smile from him since he knows he hears those words at bed time sometimesPerfect for any age, but starts to get useful around 1 and up!

like the other calico books, this one has lovely illustrations. and all in all the story has nice, simple rhymes and promotes friendly play between children.i don't think this book was as fantastically worded as "hello, calico." but i still like it, and so does my son (which is what really counts). |
