This one seems to continue in the formula of releases in the past 12 years, that is a couple of covers, a remake of an old classic, and 4-5 new tunes. These guys really shine on the ballads and there are several new ones on here that stand up to their best stuff. Ernie and Earl Cate are two of the greatest songwriters of our time, and also two of the most under recognized songwriters of our time. If someone could produce "The Songs of the Cate Brothers" and round up Bonnie Raitt, Allman Brothers, and others to cover their greatest songs, these guys might finally get the recognition they truly deserve. I will volunteer to produce such a project. Do I have a backer who believes this music should be shared with the world? Keep on keepin' on brothers......

I just booked this band for another fundraising event for my organization and the crowd went nuts over their new cd. What wonderful musicians they are. We are so proud to have them living right here in NWA. What a wonderful tribute to former drummer Porky Hill and Angela Cate. "The Other Side of Heaven" will brig tears to your eyes. You guys continue to bring the best to the "blues". I highly recommend this new album. David, your talent far surpasses your years!

I am not as familiar with this cd as I am with another of the Cate Brothers older cd's. I am sure I will grow to love it as much as their original. I am happy to find some of their older music is finally being offered for sale.

This is a local band I've listened to for 20 years. They are one of Arkansas best kept secrets. I purchased this CD for myself and a friend from my home town in Missouri that I introduced them to.
