This review is from: Play Scratch Golf: An Amateur's Guide to Playing Perfect Golf (Paperback)
This is one of the most practical books written on an approach to improving your golf handicap. The author goes to the next step, as a player, on how to win tournaments. The author is not only a PGA professional but has practical experience in competition. The practicalities of the driver, irons, putting, sand and wedge play are covered where the author includes the fundamentals of the technique (stance, grip, posture, setup). He also gives useful drills that highlight the main skills that he outlines at the end of each chapter. Each chapter is summarized at the end of each chapter to highlight key points, including tips for tournament players and junior players. There are personal experiences by the author and how he relates the stories to the reader. His approach is a nice combination for the 'full package' approach to strategy, training and imagery.

Every aspect of golf is covered with regards to strategy, approach to various holes, the mental game, fitness, and specialty shots.

This is one of the most comprehensive books with a no-nonsense approach to becoming the best player and achieving your true potential. This book will help golfers of all ages, men and women, high handicap players and competitors.

I highly recommend this book.
