There are some gems here, and you don't have to buy the whole double albumen. I bought a selection of MP3s, including Jeniferever's ONE STEP UP made into a terrifc ethereal epic.

Too much of this double CD turns Bruce into elevator music, hushed high-pitched vocals abound among the mostly obscure (to me at least) groups. There are some good exceptions: She's The One, Born in the USA, Brilliant Disguise, I'm on Fire, Thunder Road, Downbound Train, and No Surrender. Select carefully; only the most dedicated of cover collectors will want all of this.

Just god awful. Truly. Worse than you think it could possibly be. Bruce songs are about passion and feeling. These have none. They are cloying and pretentious. I wanted to like it, I knew it wouldn't be Bruce, but it is worse than I thought possible. Born to Run on a banjo makes something iconic sound like 5th rate Neil Young. Rosalita through a vocoder? What? What?!? I am not against covers - Tegan and Sarah did good on Dancing in the Dark - but these are just plain not good. Points to Allo Darlin for doing something interesting on Atlantic City. But that's about it. Listen on Spotify and you'll know what I mean. Avoid.
