Product Description

If Real Swing Golf were any more realistic, you might be asked to replace divots! Get off the couch and onto the fairway! The trouble with playing golf with a controller is like playing the guitar with a banana. That's why we offer Radica's Plug 'n' Play Real Swing Golf. Just like other self-contained plug-n-play video games, Real Swing Golf simply plugs into the AV sockets on your television. The difference here is that the sleek little unit contains an ultra responsive CMOS camera that detects the swing, speed and path of the special golf club that comes with the game. The gorgeously realistic 18-hole course featured in Real Swing will transport you into a virtual world of greens, roughs, water hazards and doglegs and you won't even have to tip your caddie or scream at the slowpokes on the next hole. Before you know it all your friends will be paying you greens fees to come play your course! Tee it up and never leave home!

4.0 out of 5 stars Next best thing!! January 18, 2008
Durability: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
With our busy lives, my husband does not get a chance to hit the green much anymore. I surprised him with this for Christmas, and it was a hit. He connected it to our TV and golfed for about 30 minutes. I think he was very surprised that it wasn't a "cheasy" game. He TV golfs everyday now for about 20-45 minutes after work. Works for both of us :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelent idea and lots of fun! December 14, 2007

Hey This product is now available in the united states. It was originally made in england. that is where I got mine. It is awesome and it works fairly well. I recomend staying still before you take a shot. It helps if you dont stand so close to the base. The base acts like a sonar and will detect a straight hit, a slice or a hook. You can change the club size only in the software. It is a little silly to put with a wedge but hey its a toy! Was a great holiday gift and everyone wanted to play including grandma. I hope they make more of these. cheaper than Wii!

I received this game as a Christmas gift as there isn't much golfing in Upstate NY in the winter. The product does a good job of enforcing good fundamentals, but takes a bit to get used to. The sensor is embedded in the control unit and is sensitive to ANY movement above or near it, which can result in added strokes. I would have hoped the graphics to be better as they were about Nintendo (Original, 1983) quality. The unit does not come with an AC adapter but has the receptacle for an aftermarket one, which I purchased at a local electrical store for an extra $15.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bought for father-in-law; he liked it but... January 23, 2010

We bought this for my 62 year old father in law, who can't get out and golf as much as he used to. He liked it for the great motion sensor and because he can use a real club, but the graphics are so limitted that after using this game, he wants a Wii instead. So for the price we paid, yes, good product... But may leave you wanting more...
