I have a 6 year old who's thrilled every time he can do grown-up things himself. To my little man, this espresso machine is the real deal. The sounds are very realistic, as are all the knobs and buttons. You pour water into the machine, choose your drink and as the water drips out into the cup, the plastic "foam" insert rises. Looks like the cup is filling with real espresso. My son plays with it for an hour at a time and he's not always the most gentle. Although it's a plastic toy, it seems quite sturdy. My only complaint is that since it looks so much like the real thing, I've had to find space for it next to my espresso machine.

Gave this to my almost 2 year old niece as a gift and she loves it. It is easy enough for her to play with at this age, and when she gets older they can use the water function. Great toy!

Cute, haven't given this to my daughter yet but you can press buttons etc. while it's in the box, and it is cute. It's tiny, and it's plastic, but it does make sounds. The coffee cup is smaller than I expected..I shall update this when we get to using it BUT I bought this initially for $45 on Amazon. It said it would have some fake food that came with it. It didn't, so I ended returning it. Then I was in Costco and just happened to stumble upon this EXACT SAME thing for $18.99!! Just FYI. We could all afford to save a bit of money these days..

Daughter liked it but it wasn't worth the money. Does resemble a real coffee maker though. Save your money and get a cheap real one
