For those of you that are basing your decision for this item on the previous comment, this item states it is for your NEW ps2 and its sleek design meaning the new slim line which i have and this works!

This multitap for the PS2 worked great!!! The thing is that this version of the multitap will only work for the 70000 series PS2's (the PS2 slim) and is not compatible with the 30000 and 50000 series. Be sure to check your PS2 for the correct series number and purchase accordingly.

This is the "slim" multitap, compatible with the SCPH-7xxxx series slim PlayStation 2 consoles. It is NOT compatible with the older "fat" PlayStation 2 consoles (SCPH-1xxxx, SCPH-3xxxx, and SCPH-5xxxx).

Since the slim PS2 has a different form factor, it is incompatible with the PlayStation 1 Multitap, so the new PlayStation 2 Multitap was also designed to be compatible with PS1 games. The original PS2 Multitap still will not work for PS1 games.

This is NOT compatible with SCPH-30000 series or the SCPH 50000 series. Thought others might not want waste their time if they also have one of the series that it's not compatible with.

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get this working on the first try, especially because I had several wireless controllers hooked up to it as well, but I was able to plug it in and get it up and running in less than 2 minutes. We played ATV3 and it was very fun with 4 players. I definitely recommend this to others.

My son loves this when his friends come over. It's great to have, so more than 2 people can play a ps2 game. Although, it doesn't work with all games. You need to have games where more than 2 players are an option.

Great to have all the kids play at once...just beware..it only works with the slim model.

This is a SCPH 10090. It does NOT work with Slim PS2 models 79xxx and 90xxx. Check your PS2 Manual!

I purchased this multitap for my slim PS2. It works great, though you do have to use a Sony PS2 memory card with it in order for it to work. It will not work with 3rd party memory cards for the PS2.

I bought this based on the Product Features that assures "Compatible with PS2 models SCPH 70000 and 90001", but this does not work in our SCPH 90001 PS2 console. Fail.

I'd like a refund or an exchange for a different unit that will work in our console.

I'm sure it works in the right console, but I only gave it 1 star because it doesn't work for me.
