If your TV has an S-Video input, I strongly recommend getting this Sony S-Video cable. The main differences I noticed is that the text on the games is much clearer and easier to read. Still photos also show up more clearly and have less color bleeding.

If you have an S-Video VCR and it's not hooked up to your TV via S-Video, its not worth buying the cable because by the time the signal gets to the TV, its already been degraded to regular A/V.

In Summary, if you your TV has S-Video input and if you want better images and clearer text, buy the Sony S-Video cable.

S-video is better than RCA but remember that no matter what kind of S-video cable you use, they will not work with light gun games. Keep that in mind if you like games such as Time Crisis 2. If you are already using S-video and want a light gun game, a different hookup is required.

I recently purchased a 'S' cable for my Playstation 2. The picture and clear graphic will blow you away. There is a definite difference between the regular cable and this one. I would highly recommend this cable to anyone who owns a Playstation 2.

This is a good buy if your television supports S-Video. What this cable does is separate the colors a lot better than your standard A/V cable device. This results in a much improved video quality as a result of more resolution. Your video games will appear more crisp and have more definition when compared to A/V picture quality. You might also see things that you might have never seen before due to the improved quality. I give it four stars though because of the price. This cable should be about $10 or $15 cheaper. If you are willing to pay this price, then you will like your results.

The S Cable is a very good buy. I just got mine and you can tell the difference between the stero A-V cable and the S cable. It's like the expansion pak for Nintendo 64. The DVD's picture quality is also improved

I can't really speak for the sony brand cable, as I purchased the interact pro series s-video cable. But what I can say is that with s-video input, the difference on most games is like day and night! Your PS2 is going to waste if you don't use at least s-video input. The difference is especially noticeable with in-game text, still images(such as the backgrounds in onimusha-wow!), and particle effects. Colour bleeding is practically eliminated.

Again, I tend to think the interact pro series are better quality than the ps2 cables (and cheaper, at least at electronics boutique) anything is better than the lame rca cables that sony gives you. This really is a must-buy, you CANNOT do without it!

If you have an s video imput, you should get this cable. I have a 27 inch panasonic tv, which i bought for s video, and the diference was incredable. Don't buy the cheaper brands,(madcatz,interact,etc.)they void the ps2's warenty and may even damage it. It is a good cable for the price of 30 dollars, but if you get lucky you may find one at best buy, they had some opened ones for 15(i guess people bought them and relized they didn't have s-video capability). All in all it is a must have it you have s-video imputs.

It gives a noticably better picture than A/V. DVD Playback is sharper and the games are also very sharp and well defined. I have the interact cable and I've never had any problems with it. It's the same as this one.

S-Video cable makes graphics significantly SHARPER and better than regular stock AV cables. About 5 to 10 times sharper IMO.

This cable is way too rip. Get the ten dollars Pelican S-Video cable instead; it performs great like Sony.

Great...better than the ones that come with the PS1 because not only does it have the video connections..but also S video (if you have that feature on your tv).
