I tried to save [money] and bought the madcatz rfu adapter for my ps2. It was bad. Made dvd's sound like a video tape w/ bad tracking. This one from sony works like a charm. Clear picture, great sound. If you have an older TV without rca plugs, get this!

I have bought over 5 different RFU adapters from different makers and companies. I just purchased a PSone (smaller version of regular Playstation). I have found that this RFU adapter is THE ONLY ONE that works with the PSone Game Console. Caution PSone users, if you want a RFU adapter, spend the extra money and get this....if you don't....you'll regret it. ....

- they sent a substitute from some unknown company and the product was a cheaply made and didn't work for what it was intended - when it was inserted between the Playstation 2 and the television - the audio was distorted and unbearable. Of course the postage cost and hassle involved to return the item would have netted me about $5-7 so I cut my losses and just won't buy from them again. If you hate to be cheated - don't buy from them either!

I recently came into a circa 1981 Zenith television that I setup in my back room.
Not wanting to use my newer systems I decided to hook up my PS2 for playing when the living room is already in use.
I was previosuly running the PS2 composite cables through a VCR which resulted in poor video quality.

Purchasing this RFU adapater worked great.
The picture is now as perfect as you can expect from a nearly 30 year old television.


The only time I notice any problem at all is during black load screens when I can visibly see some wavy static on the screen...
but that's a black load screen. All other images are fine. It's probably actually due to the TV and not this.



Other reviews of this product give low rating for non-Amazon sellers, not the actual product.
Some give poor reviews after they pulled on the cord, why would you pull on a cord then be surprised it broke?
How do we convince the world to rate products for the actual product and not the seller/user error?

I bought this as a replacement. (My original RFU Adaptor died after 7 years.) And this is the exact same product, down to the model number. (The picture is wrong.) It arrived quickly, in perfect condition, and it was dirt cheap.

It worked pretty well indeed! Please keep this up with up your products and future products and please continue to look for ways to improve on delivery

my cord worked fine for the first week, maybe even 10 days! after that, it broke from being pulled, but not at any signifigant strenth! thats low quality

sony packed an AC adapter in this RFU adapter box, but i made back 7 bucks on e-bay, so it's not so bad. word to the wize, don't buy accesories from sony, i see a lot of bad reviews on their products all the time.
