I had heard about this product from a co-worker or mine, stating how much of a cool product it is. Here are the pro's:
Good solid feel. not too heavy not too light. Balls are made of a very solid resin and can with stand hard impacts without chipping or denting. LED light system is easy and simple to use. Con's: Bag could be a bit more useful. Bag doesn't hold everything that comes with the deluxe kit comfortably, the bag bulges at the seem. The LED on the jack or the little ball needs to be a different color and brighter. The red light is hard to see at longer distances, and since there is a set of red balls, a team might mistake the jack for an already thrown ball. Also the flashing LED light set is hard on the eyes after a few hours of play, I would recommend using the solid color lights unless you really need the flashers.

All in all, well worth the money. I play this game a lot during the summer, and it gives my party guests something else to do other than drink and stare at the fire pit.

I went to a cookout earlier this summer and someone brought this set and I had to go order one for myself the next day because I was so impressed! Most light in the dark games don't work as well as you'd like, but these work so well that my friends and I don't even play during the day anymore, we just wait til it gets dark. I took these to a few other cookouts since I got them and have sent the link to about 5 other people who were equally impressed and wanted to buy a set themselves.

Pros: The new design is well worth the extra cost over other lighted set. I initially bought the set from REI (which is like most other sets on the market) that turns on by screwing in the cork and only flashes. This makes it easy to either lose a cork or waste the battery if playing during the day, and the flashing of 8 different balls gets old really quick. This is the only set that has a push button to turn on and off, and can also utilize a solid light instead of flashing, which everyone seems to prefer.

Con: The pallini (white target ball) sometimes turns off with impact when you throw it across the yard, and then you need to chase it down to turn it back on in order to play. It's still worth buying the set, but it happens a few times every game.

This is the best outdoor recreation game I've played in years. I was looking for a lawn bowling set and came across these; my attention was caught because of the glow in the dark quality. The balls all glow fantastically, each ball is powered with three small watch batteries. The set comes with tape measure and two sets of batteries. The balls are extremely durable and designed with excellent colors. My friends and family can't seem to get enough of the Playaboules. Its an excellent way to bring people out of the house and enjoying the evening. I hope you try these out and enjoy them as much as I have.

The game is a lot of fun but first night out the little white ball would go off after we threw it and spent a lot of time trying to find it. Two of the other balls were having issues throughout the night as well but I was very happy after calling the company and they sent out replacements right away. Second time out we had more players so naturally used more "new" balls but when I called to get one more light replaced they were not so friendly. I love the game and hope they all work now but my advice is if you buy it make sure all the balls work before calling customer service.

this bocce set is so much better than i thought it was going to be. we've only played it once so far (i just got it yesterday)...and it LED lights are so much brighter than i thought they would be. the balls were a little lighter than previous sets we've played with, but we liked that. also i liked that the balls are not "painted", so we will not have issues with paint chipping, and scratches like i read in lots of reviews on other bocce ball sets.
the case seems pretty sturdy (i believe it's been upgraded since the last reviewer purchased it.... and it contained everything that you need to play, including extra batteries, a measuring string and measuring tape. it's a great bocce set and it just is so much fun to be able to play at night....makes it super fun :)

A close friend of mine brought these out at a housewarming cookout 2 years ago just trying to keep his guests entertained. It has now become a summer tradition Ultimate Bocce Tournament at his house every summer. This year for Christmas, I recieved these as a gift and can't wait to start my own Bocce Summer Tournament!! His set is the older version with the screw-in plugs. I have this set and I have to say the push-button lights are a great addition. With his set, some would blink, some stayed lit, sometimes they'd go out or flash when thrown, they were very inconsistent. This new set is much more reliable. The weight is perfect and they are very very durable. Its about 30 degrees outside now, and I cant wait until it warms up this spring!! Trust me when I say that these will be the hit at the party and will be HOURS of fun after the sun goes down. The only downside is trying to figure out a way to get your guests to leave!!

This is a great product! The lighted balls are super fun. Pack came with tons of extra batteries. My kids love playing these at night. The balls when spread out around look like a solar system! What a great idea!!

I very rarely ever do reviews, but this product deserves one! Everything about this game is top notch, from the balls themselves to the really nice case. I understand that for some of the Bocce purest out there this may just be a novelty. I am so impressed by the durability and construction. This is probably the favorite of all the backyard games I own!
