About the Author
Rick Fernald has been kayaking since 1976 and has numerous first decents to his name. His most notable accomplishment includes the first decent of the "Grand Canyon of the Stikine." Rick has since turned playboater and has won many rodeos in the Northwest.
Colby Blewett is part of the new generation. Paddling since 1998, Colby has already put in over 100 days a year in his home state of Idaho and also a semester abroad in Costa Rica. He is currently studying multimedia design at the University of Oregon.
