After reading the negative reviews on this DVD, I lowered my expectations on what to expect when I got this DVD. It was far more enjoyable than I expected, with several lovely ladies.

Looking at the credits and the way this DVD was produced, this didn't look like an original Playboy production done by Playboy's crew. It looked like an Australian video crew put this together, and Playboy just slapped their label and DVD menu layout on it.

There are no Playmates on this DVD, just Australian models, none whom I'm recognized. There were 7 lengthy segments, each around 6-7 minutes each, which is my preferred format setup instead of 10-to-12 segments being only 3-4 minutes each.

There is a lovely blonde in a bikini who hosts the entire DVD, but she never strips down to join the action. At least there were no annoying male co-hosts like I've seen in many recent Playboy DVDs. Inbetween each segment is a brief 1-to-2 minute interview with the 6 Australian models who appear in this DVD. Also inbetween each segment is a brief 1-to-2 minute look at different aspects of Australia's culture.

As for the lovely ladies, there are 7 video segments total, 2 of them which have some modest girl-girl action. The 2nd scene is more provocative, as the two girls feed each other strawberries and grapes before undressing completely and lightly caressing each other. Nothing hardcore here, just nice softcore action.

The individual scenes vary with the ladies on the beach and on the deck of a yacht. There is also a girl visiting the Outback and goes "au naturel" on the hood of her jeep, and another one is dressed as a primitive hunter who sheds her clothes and weapons.

Why did I give this DVD 4 stars? The sharp and crystal clear video quality of this release, which is how all of the Playboy DVDs should be in their video quality. The added 6-minute bonus feature of late-1980s Playmate Shannon Long was also nice, to give this DVD a 60+ minute overall running time.

Beautiful naked women who exhibit no passion whatsoever. Not one of Playboy's best.

I though this would be an excellent video, always having lusted after Shannon Long and thought the girls of Australia among the finest anywhere. Wrong. It appears that this is not an American Playboy production, but something that folks Down Under did for them. And it shows. Some of the filming is awful, with a shaky camera for a moment in one scene, an odd splice of film that appears for a second that makes little sense, and another scene where the camera backs away for a moment, zooms in again, and back away again, very disorienting. The girls don't appear to have on a lot of make-up or be that prepped, something Playboy generally exceeds at.

As for the girls, they are nothing to really write home about. A few are really cute, the first one really pretty and another one later on in duet scene nice looking, but most are just reasonably attractive but nothing really memorable. No Playmates, that is for certain.

I thought the video would have new Shannon Long footage or at least footage I had not seen before (as on the 1990 Playmate Video Calendar). Alas, no. Except for a few seconds of a non-nude montage and filming of her centerfold shots and associated pictures (which was nice btw), it was exactly what you saw before. Of course, that video was ten years ago and maybe there are those of you who haven't seen it. That makes this video somewhat worthwhile, a very pretty Aussie with tremendous breasts, my favorite (and achingly brief) is a few shots in a montage where she is on an American beach and refuses to wear her bikini top despite the efforts of a policeman. She keeps throwing down the top in disgust, her breasts jiggling as she does so. Nice. Another is a scene of her in her bedroom, lots of closeups of those great breasts.

But all in all, not a good video to buy. Sorry.
