This is one of the four books about the Medici Brothers. This is the story of Rafe. Him and his brothers were separated after the death of his parents. They were taken by different foster homes. He grew up with nothing and became welathy on his own. The only woman he had once loved, refused his marriage proposal becase he was not wealthy enough. After that, he vowed to stay away from relationships. Three years later, he finds out he has a son from the woman he once loved and is now dead. Nicole became Joel's mom ever since her sister died and Joel was only months old. Her priority has always been Joel and she did not want to be separated from him. She decides to move to Florida to be close to Joel and his father. Rafe knew how much Nicole meant to his son, she was the only mother he has known. Soon, playing house together started to look and feel good. Of course, the attraction he felt towards her was a plus. Can he learn to love another woman or will his past hinder his future with the mother of his child? Can they make it work?

There is a secondary story as well that is present in all 4 books; the brother's are all trying to find out what happened to their youngest brother. He was on the train that killed their parents but his body was never recovered. Story was good, and moved pretty quickly, makes you want to pick up the other books.
