When I read this book I thought about the song by Jaheim--"Never" Jace gave up his playboy ways for a childhood friend. He really wasn't expecting things to turn out the way they did. He usually date women for three weeks and then leave them alone. He never expected to fall for Sheyna. She had to spend a weekend with him giving him her mind,body,and soul. Jace never thought that he would be the one falling in love.

Sheyna Simmons & Jace Beaumont are life long friends who are highly competitive. No bet is too much until Sheyna loses a bet that involves cleaning Jace's windows. However to get him back she shows up in a 'little' maid's uniform and that's when friends want to be lovers. Angie Daniels has done it again. This story about two friends who discover that the transition from friends to lovers isn't as hard as they thought it would be. Jace is guarded because his heart has been broken before and Sheyna is tired of meeting 'Mr Wrong'. Jace & Sheyna are best friends who discover they have a physical attraction. This is a excellent story and as usual Angie Daniels does not disapoint. I have read her previous writings and I have loved all of them. So when do Jace & Jabarie's brother & sister get their own story? (smile)

I thought this book was another Angie Daniels best. She really did her thang when she wrote this book. I was a little skeptical about it at first because of the cover. I kept putting it off. But I finally said enough, and I picked it up and couldn't put it back down. I didn't realize it was the second part to Second Time Around which was another great book by Angie. I have almost all of her books and they were just as good as this one, so really I don't know why I doubted this at first. It's a must have for your collection. Keep it up Angie. Love your work.

Jace and Sheyna have been friends for a lifetime. That's why they are both shocked at the romantic feelings that are starting to plague them both. Sheyna is not interested in giving in to these feelings as she knows all to well that Jace takes a "love them and leave them" approach to women. Sheyna is ready to fight her attraction at every turn and with everything in her. However, Jace has gotten a preview of her sexy side and isn't willing to give up on the idea of turning his friendship with Sheyna into something much deeper. I read this novel voraciously as author Angie Daniels let us take a peek at the potential reformation of a player.

This is a must read!

This is the 2nd book in Angie Daniels Beaumont series...I was not impressed with the first book...but just reading the first book, I knew this 2nd book would be hot...This is a 5 star book in my opinion...She did not disappoint at all...Jace beaumont is like the average man...scared of commitment but knows a good woman when he has one...but he wants his cake and want to eat it too of course...Sheyna is like most women as well...She wants the house with the white picket fence but she refuse to be made a fool of...She does not bite her tongue at all...She is a funny character in this book...Pretty much, she want back down to anyone who has anything negative to say....I really enjoyed her character the most...She loves herself some Jace...she does not want to wear her heart on her shoulder so she plays along with his game until she can no longer be in his presence...This is definitely a page turner...You will not be disappointed...

this is the most long winded, anti-climatic waste of time since "to love a knight" and "she's my baby." there was no want to finish the book, nothing that made me say, "oh my God, i can't believe that! i can't wait to see what happens next.

You won't regret buying this. It was lighthearted, funny, romantic, and full of hot scenes. At the end, I wanted more of it.
I never read KIMANI books because often times, authors who write about African Americans feel the need to describe details about their physical appearance, hair, skin color that I find utterly disturbing.

The first thing that I loved about this book was that I couldn't tell the ethnicity of the characters unless I looked at the cover. Just two normal friends who fall in lust then in love.
THe characters were very realistic and I could definitely see myself doing certain actions the same way they did.
Jace and Sheyna were so loveable.

I hope to see more from the Beaumont brothers, Jayden's story promises to be just as awesome.

This was my first book I've ever read by Angie Daniels and I loved it! It made me go back and read her other novels and now she has become one of my favorite authors!

This is a good book. I like how the author gives backstory to the characters yet draws you into the story with interest. She has you rooting for the characters.

This was my first book by this author and she did not disappoint. This was a great read I highly recommend this I love Jace and Sheyna's story and I'm looking forward to Bianca's and Jaden and Danica story.
