I eagerly looked forward to the release of the Trump reprints, which was scheduled for March 24, 2010. However, I began to suspect something was amiss after Amazon failed to ship the book two weeks after it was supposed to be released. I called the publisher, Dark Horse Comics, and was informed that the release date has been pushed back...to June 2011. No reason for this postponement was given. It would not surprise me if plans to release this book fail to materialize altogether; over a year ago, a promised release of the two issues of Trump by a different publisher was scotched. Those who have placed their orders for Trump have good reason to be pessimistic about ever seeing these legendary magazine issues in reprint. How disappointing.

I too have waited for this collection to come out. I waited months and months and nothing. It is akin to driving along a freeway with signs leading up to an attraction. The miles to the attraction get smaller and smaller. Finally you see a sign saying it is "Just over the hill." and when you get there...nothing.

Its too bad, I used to have one of the issues and it was great. It was like Mad when it was at top form but it lavish color.

Maybe one day we will see it!

But I don't think so.

What I've been feeling echoes that of the first "review" (actually, not a review of the book; just a review of the second aborted publishing attempt). I never had a chance to see either issue of Trump when they were originally published, and I was hoping FINALLY to see them.
I'm publishing this "review" just in case the powers that CAN publish Trump see this and other similar comments and realize that there actually is a group of interested people who WILL buy this if it's ever published.
