This review is from: Playdoh Doh Doh Island Beach Buggy (Toy)
The buggy is the focal piece of the set, and all of the accompanying accessories attach to the buggy. It's a bizarre looking vehicle that seems to serve two purposes: to hold the Doh-Doh hut for the Tiki Toss game, and to function as a beach buggy. It's made of heavy-duty plastic, and rolls easily on most floorings, including carpet.
The Doh-Doh hut fits in the buggy, for the Tiki Toss game, or can be played outside of the buggy as well. To play the Tiki Toss game, roll some balls of Play-Doh, and aim for the center of the hut where a spring-loaded Tiki shoots out of the top. Mold the Tiki, and place in the shoot. The game can be played outside of the buggy, but the buggy has a ramp that folds out for easy aiming. They Doh-Doh characters come in 2-pieces: the body, and the head. Stuff the head with Play-Doh, and insert the body. Doh extrudes from all the funky holes in the heads, and looks funny. They look like a mix of Polynesian Tiki's and the characters from Disney's Monster's Inc. They are strange looking creatures with big bulgy eyes, tusks, and stringy doh hair. Another fun feature of the set is the surfboard. It can be used a diving board, a mold, or a springboard to jump off. The skeleton fish are strange looking when bare, they look like half a skeleton with a loop. Mold their body in the fish mold, and then hook the loop with the fishing pole. The Doh-Doh Island Beach Buggy is more of a playset, than a set of Play-Doh. Most of the doh sets we own include molds, cutters, rolling pins, cookie cutters, and molding compound. This set can be played with independently without the doh. I think that's why it's so entertaining. When my son first opened the box, he played on the floor for an hour or more without Play-Doh. It's really an amusing playset.
