Book Description

July 1, 2008

At last, a humorous, anecdote-filled exploration of the many ways in which women stab each other in the back and talk about each other behind closed doors

If you exhibit any of these traits, you may be guilty of being a Player hateHER:

  • You get upset when people don't notice how fabulous you are.
  • You vow to get revenge on your boyfriend's mistress, instead of him.
  • You become angry when you see someone wearing the same outfit you purchased, as if it were produced just for you.

Player hateHER shows women why they hate on one another, and, most important, how they can stop! A much-needed lesson in respecting one another and respecting yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It!, October 10, 2009
This review is from: Player HateHer: How to Avoid the Beat Down and Live in a Drama-Free World (Paperback)
I would love to have tons and tons of copies of this book to give to every woman I see, but I do not...so I will simple tell them about this wonderful book that is a must read. When I purchased the book, I did not focus on the name of the author and was surprised to see that one of the authors was Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George. I liked her group SWV and I also enjoyed her reality show, "I Married A Baller". The other half of this dynamic duo of a writing team is Katrina R. Chambers.

The book is a mere 125 pages in length, but is chock-full of insight and wisdom of why women hate on one another and how to stop. The book was so true with the familiar revelations and recounting of situations that most women are either the victim or perpetrator of. At the end of the book is a Player hateHer quiz that the reader can take...if she is brave enough.

Table of Contents: What is a Player hateHer?, Why We Player-Hate: Jealousy Equals Insecurity, Men: The Reoccurring Root of Player Hating, So You Think the Woman Has Everything!, Scared of Success, Can't Judge a Book by its Cover, Relatively Speaking, The Wedding-Bell Blues, Campus Envy, Lil hateHers, Be Nice, Celebrity Player Hatehers. Each chapter was a page turner and it is a quick read. Will make for real dialogue with your sistah friends, co-workers, and book club.
