Didn't work. It skipped and froze with even newly-cleaned DVD's. It's overpriced, even at this low price.

Buy something else.

You're supposed to be able to change the region code. Looks easy: open door, press 163 to find region. Or open door, enter 9999 to enter region choice. It does nothing. Pressing the numbers doesn't even bring up a screen of options. Very unhappy, because the whole reason I bought this was to watch some videos I bought through Amazon that says I need a special region code :(

Bought for Christmas 2013 to play Australian DVDs. Used the instructions on the product page: 1. Open DVD door. 2. Press 9999 (9 repeatedly) 3. Enter 0 for all country codes. Immediately began to play all disks, simple as that. Also tested with other disks; works fine with USA and France disks too.

This is a good general-purpose player for easy use. Does not have a lot of features or connections if you need this for HDTV, but otherwise a good player.
