A Kid's Review
This review is from: Player's Paradise (Audio CD)
First of all, I would like to say that I have a ton of respect for any rapper that puts out a whole album that they don't have to sell in two different versions (Edited and Explicit). With that said, this is an interesting album. Nitty finds a way to talk about sex and girls without being too obscene. On songs like Move Your Body and Nasty Girl he talks about what the titles suggest. In Nasty Girl, a part of the chorus goes "and let me do that dirty dance with you". So Nitty isn't to clean, but there are almost no swear words, and definetly no swear words that would warrant an explicit label. The first track, ABC, is a very good track with a good chorus. This is a great way to start off this cd. Hey Bitty is a song that sounds like Hey Micky, but works very well. This song is on NBA Street V3 and that is where I first heard this song. This is probably one of my favorites on the cd. Then there is Nasty Girl, a cool song with good lyrics and a fun, dance beat. This one is another awesome song. Then there is Like That which is also very good and interesting. I especially like the beat for this song as it is pretty danceable. Following that is another standout track in Sorry. This is my favorite song on the cd because it has very, very good verses with some thought put into them. After that there is Hey Girl which is pretty cool, but nothing spectacular. Then there is Wind It Up which is pretty cool with a good chorus. Move Your Body is after that and is more for the ladies. I like this song though and it offers a very good beat. Then there is a short skit called Player At Work which will be worth one listen and then you can just hit the skip button. Then there are what could be the 3 best songs on the album, just because they have good choruses, good beats, and good verses. They are UNH!, Fly, and It's Official. That is all that is in this album. All of these songs add up to one heck of an album that I really enjoy. Nitty is doing something that is virtually unheard of these days: Trying to put the fun back in Hip Hop. This is an awesome cd that will go unnoticed for awhile and the fact that he doesn't swear much contributes to that. I think that this cd has something for everyone and I think that everyone can enjoy this cd. If this is Nitty's debut, which I think it is, then he has a great career in front of him.

I highly recommend this CD as an alternative to alot of the mass popular CD's released these days. Nitty does a great job of sampling class jamz to make modern music. This CD has almost no filler on any track, even though my personal 2 favorite tracks are ABC and Nasty Girl. I feel that Nitty is gonna have a great future in the rap game. Definitely able to come up with beats to compete in a very competitive rap industry while being able to still let his msuical influence by older R&B shine. Nitty is definitely not an artist to miss!!

Very,fun, danceable album!,

This album is surprisingly profanity-free! I thought that Nitty would go that route, due to the song titles, but he has some addictive rap songs with danceable, funky beats. I still like ABC, Hey Bitty, Nasty Girl, Sorry, Hey Girl, Unh and others. The person I would compare him the most is Will Smith, who also does some songs like this to move and rock the party. A couple of songs are on the sexy side, but he keeps the lyrics clean. This is a smartly done debut.
