I bought this playhouse boutique for my three year old daughter. When viewing tents online my daughter was not so interested in reviews as she was that it was a big "PINK" tent. So I basically purchased it for that reason. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the item. The playhouse looks exactly as pictured. The size could comfortably hold 2 toddlers up to 3 if sitting. The set-up instructions were very straight forward and the tent was easy to put together (which is very important with an impatient toddler). No tools required. The tent did come with a purple "curtain" which was suppose to be used as a "changing room" divider in order to partition about a half of the tent to be used for that purpose. This is suppose to be a clothing boutique. I found the curtain to awkwardly hang from the ceiling of the tent and take up way to much room. We ended up attaching it to the bottom of the tent, to act as a floorboard since the tent did not come with one. The tent isn't your high end camping tent and isn't as robust as you would expect from an outdoor tent. Although, I have purchase other play tents that appeared to have more durability. The fabric seems like something you would find under a box spring mattress (just thicker). However it is strong enough to withstand hours and hours of play and makes a great indoor playhouse to enhance your child's imagination. The fabric allows for the tent to collapse very easily making it a quick clean-up and store away product. I store mine under my daughter's bed. The door and window gives the tent more imagination. My daughter plays house, drive thru coffee shop, etc. There are draw back curtains on both sides of the tent and can be drawn back or tied close. I am very pleased with this purchase and my daughter is as well. She has spent numerous hours playing make believe.

edit 2-11-14: it still lives... my girls still love it... still abuse it... and some how its still in pritty good shape

My daughter was excited to see this go up but...

1) The material is flimsy and cheap looking.
2) It is NOT totally POP UP - to set it up you must insert two different poles (one in the door and one on the top) and insert a piece of cardboard into the window ledge, then you must button up the interior curtains, and hang the mirror.
3) The door either hangs ajar or she can't get it to open.
4) The curtains do not hang down because they are a crumpled mess (maybe if I steamed treated them or something, as the material is not heavy enough to hang on its own).
5) The inside curtains are precarious and often come down if my daughter steps on the edge of them (no doubt they will be the first part to rip).
6) The mirror is distorted.

If I did not want to use any of the accessories, I could pop it up with no door, a droopy window ledge, no mirror, or inside dressing-room curtains and have it just be a pink box that my daughter could run into...

Overall, I am not impressed and I would warn buyers to look at other products first.

I was trying to find something fun & different for my cousin's one year birthday. I came across this & thought it would be a fun & different gift. I was worried about it for a few reasons 1) will she use it? 2) will it be in the way? But hen I read in the description that it was a "pop-up" playhouse. I've seen hampers that work in the same way so I thought this would be perfect! The family lives in their first (starter) home & didn't want the playhouse not be used because it was too big or in the way.

So when she unwrapped it at her party we opened it up & sure enough it popped into place & it has two plastic rods that reinforce it so it stays taut. Then the third rod serves as a hinge on the door so it swings open & shut. There's also a little plastic holder at the top of the door where you can insert a sign. We made one that says " Carin's Playhouse." So cute! She loved it! It was such a perfect gift I decided to order another one for my other cousin who is also turning one! This item can very easily be broke down & stored.

I will be ordering this product again next time I have a toddler's birthday party to go to! For the price, the product, & how much they enjoyed it, it is just perfect!

We bought this for our 2 year old daugher for Christmas. Let's be real...for $40 it's not going to last forever and isn't going to have amazing workmanship. But it is a nice size (big enough for mom or dad to get inside too), it has some nice touches (front door that opens and closes), and the price is right. My daughter really loves it! We didn't use the curtain inside to create the "dressing room" because it just took up too much room. Instead we rigged the curtain up so that it covers the back entrance (the one without the curtains). That way she has more privacy and it feels more like a house. Overall, a good buy and a fun toy.

I bought this for my almost 2 year old and frankly, she loves it. She goes in and out all the time. I bought it b/c it folds small (although I haven't figured out exactly how it folds into a small circle) and could be easily stored. However, my daughter will not let me put it away. So now it is out. That said, I only gave this product 3 stars. First, I think the material is kind of cheap. I feel like it will rip any day now and I've only had it for a month. Second it is kind of flimsy. My daughter kept knocking it over and moving it so I had to tie it to a cabinet. Now that I realize that the house is going to be out 24-7 I wish we had gotten something sturdier.

I bought this for my 15 month old, and she loves it! It is exactly what it is described to be, and although I don't expect it to last forever it is providing hours of amusement now. My daughter loves peeking out the window and curtains, and the opening and closing door is a big hit. She is also at that "bull in a china shop" age where she knocks everything over, so the lack of durability is actually a huge plus. She can fall on or in it and doesn't damage herself or her house...it just pops right back up! We can even fit in there comfortably together, which is perfect because she insists on reading her bedtime story in "her house". Love it!!!
Update: My daughter is now 4.5 years old and still using this toy. We put it up once and a while and put her old crib mattress in- the way the house is configured it just slides right in and sticks half way out. Viola, instant tent for her to sleep in for a treat. Best toy I've bought and inexpensive too.

Perfect for a 3 YO girl who would like to have her own "house". It's really designed as a beauty boutique, BUT can be any kind of "house" a girl of that age would like. AND... it folds flat and can be hidden behind the couch for those with limited storage space.

My little girls (ages 5 and 2) were so happy Christmas morning to see this play tent next to the tree with a giant red bow! It was so much fun! I was impressed with the ease of set up and that there is a door that they can open and close. It was large enough for us all to be in for story time and the girls both napped in it. There is a window and curtains and an open side that has curtains as well. I can't tell about the durability bc we've not had it long but the girls can be rough and made an even bigger fort out of it and it has survived! I'm impressed with the size and that it came with it's own bag to store it in--not that they let me take it down. It just stays up in their room! Love it!

I bought this for my 2 year old because it had pretty good reviews. I have had it up for a month and it has slowly fell apart. It started drooping about a week after we put it in her room and now it will not stand up at all. It is dissapointing because she loves it but it is totally useless right now. I dont know what to do at this point.
