Fun Balls,
By Baby&Me (Orange County, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Playhut Magic Balls 100 Pack (Toy)
These balls are awesome! I put them in a small inflatable pool and my 2-year-old son and his friends have blast with them. The only drawback is that although 100 seems like a big number the balls only covered the bottom of the pool which I thought would be more than that. But the kids do not mind at all and are having so much fun with it. They throw the balls, jump into the pool, fall on the balls and so far (1 month) no dents or damage to the balls. I recommend buying these.

I bought the extra Playhut Magic Balls for my grandson to go with his new Playhut. The extra balls were made of a thinner, lighter, plastic. When they arrived most of the balls were smashed in, not round like the original balls. They will "do" but I will not buy anymore. You might want to try other brands.

I bought a gift for my granddaughter for Christmas that had these balls in it, and then I bought these for extra. They are soft enough so that she can throw safely (she is 1 1/2) and so that she can fall among them without injury. They are terrific

These balls held up to 7 & 8 year olds as well as 1 to 4 year olds jumping in them at a Birthday party. The balls that came with the ball pit were not nearly as good as these. If you are considering balls for any child - be sure to remember that they aren't any good if they smash down & don't feel good playing with them!

Fun for toddlers but don't hold shape well,

I bought these balls to supplement those provided in the Magic Hut tent. They are slightly larger than the other balls and made of thinner plastic. As a result, if pressure is applied (such as when a child jumps on them)they bend out of shape a little and can't be reshaped. While it doesn't impact the fun my children have playing with them it is a bit annoying.

Needed to purchase additional balls after receiving the Playhut play tent. After seeing other brands in local stores, which were much smaller and "cheaper" (thinner and more collapsible), I decided to purchase the Playhut brand balls. Needless to say, although they are at least the same size as the ones that came with the tent, they are certainly "cheaper" ... thinner, more easily crushed. It doesn't make sense, but the company must send the nicer ones when you purchase a tent or hut, but make a different cheaper version for separate sale.

These are all made out of PVC. I am searching in vain for PVC free balls. Check out CHEJ or Environmental Working Groups websites and search PVC. These balls might not be so fun once you know what they're made out of.

I bought these to supplement the balls that came with the Playhut Mega Playland that I bought for my 15-month old. These balls are much better than the ones that came with the playland. They are bigger, and pressurized a bit, so you can squeeze them and they don't collapse into a pancake. They are brightly colored, which makes them easy to find under the couch or recliner, which is where most of them end up. My son loves them, and the playland. He is teething, and loves to bite these balls, and if it keeps him quiet and happy, there is no price to put on that. Those of you with teething children know what I am saying here. For the playland, I probably could have bought another 100 just to really fill it, but at 15 months, my son doesn't know any better and he is happy. I do not see how these balls could be a choking hazard, as they are bigger than my son's mouth, but the plastic bag they come in could be dangerous. The balls themselves are great.

These balls are always a hit. At least I hope they will be when my daughter gets to open them this weekend. Anyways I wanna state that you need to check to make sure you get the right amount of balls in the box. I ordered one box of 100 balls I got one box of 96. There were 20 red, 16 green, 20 blue, 20 purple, and 20 yellow. I called and reported that I was missing the 4 green balls; and the operator said that they would ship me out a new set of 100 balls free of charge and that they would be here the following day. Sure enough the next day I received the other set of balls and now this set has 102. ok fine with me, I received 20 green, 22 purple, 20 red, 20 yellow, and 20 blue. Now to decide how to get the 2nd set mailed back.

Extremely disappointed in these balls. We were recently given a Playhut ball pit with some balls and wanted to order extra balls for our son. I knowingly payed 10 dollars extra over another brand on Amazon simply because I figured the Playhut balls we have now are very sturdy so it's better to stick with the same brand. Well, I was wrong. These new balls don't even have the "Playhut" name stamped on them like the original balls do, they are made of a much thinner plastic and collapse easily. I am so disappointed in the quality, I am debating sending them back and ordering the cheaper balls I saw. I mean....if they are gonna be crappy and thin anyway, might as well pay less right? The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because my son loves the ball pit itself.
