When a serial killer is suspected in a string of deaths, investigator Chemah Rivers quickly catches the person everyone assumes to be the culprit. Meanwhile, Chemah is dealing with his own drama at home. His love interest, a blind comedian, may very well get her sight back, while his ex-wife is fighting for custody of their daughter, and his son is getting a little too familiar with street life.
Soon the real killer starts to stalk Chemah, taunting him with murders that are tainted with sexual overtones. The detective struggles to be the hero, not only for the victims but for his own loved ones as well. Beginning with a revelation about the erotic depths hidden within a Biblical myth and developing into an adventurous modern-day murder mystery, Playing in the Dark will entice and capture readers’ minds long after the last page is turned.
