5.0 out of 5 stars INTERESTING AND JUICY
THIS IS ABOUT FORMER MOVIE SEX GODDESS MAMIE VAN DOREN WHO TELLS US HOW TO PLAY THE FIELD WHICH SHE DID QUITE WELL. SHE DOES A REAL GOOD JOB IN THIS VERY HONEST AND ENLIGHTENING STORY. MAMIE HOLDS NO PUCHES AS SHE TELLS US OF HER LIFE BETWEEN THE SHEETS WITH MANY MANY MEN. AMONG THEM SHE REVEALS SOME SECRETS ON LOVE MAKING WITH BROADWAY JOE, STEVE MCQUEEN, BURT REYNOLDS...

3.0 out of 5 stars Mamie's Memoirs--Trashy but Fun
I bought the book to find out the 'dish' on the long-dead Steve Cochran.

I found what I was seeking--though not much. Darwin Porter's 'Merv: A Life in

the Closet' told more I was looking for. Would love to know the relationship

between Steve Cochran and Danny Kaye, with whom they made a few films!

AMONG THEM SHE REVEALS SOME SECRETS ON LOVE MAKING WITH BROADWAY JOE, STEVE MCQUEEN, BURT REYNOLDS AND SOME CLOSE SEXUAL ENCOUNTERS WITH JOHNNY CARSON AND HENRY KISSINGER. MOST OF MAMIE'S MOVIES WERE BAD AND VERY FORGETABLE, BUT THIS BOOK IS NOT. I LIKED THIS OPEN AND HONEST LOOK AT HER FILM AND PRIVATE LIFE. MAMIE CERTAINLY WAS ONE OF THE HOTTEST OF THE BLONDE SEX GODDESSSES OF THE 1950'S AND 60'S. SHE EVEN DID SOME TOPLESS A FEW YEARS AGO. (SOME HABITS DIE HARD) IF YOU LIKE GOSSIP AND ARE CURIOUS ABOUT SOME OF THE LIFE BETWEEN SHEETS IN HOLLYWOOD THEN THIS IS FOR YOU. A VERY GOOD READ.

Purchased this due to a recommendation in an article in Wikipedia that promised further revelations into another star's character and activities. Boy, did it ever?!

Appears to be an honest, no-holds-bared look into the entertainment industry's life styles prior to 1990. A real let-down with some of the stars and politicians that I had previously admired and respected. But that's life!

Don't let you'r young children get their hands on this!!!
