Playing with Fire, June 24, 2007
This review is from: Playing With Fire (Paperback)
Playing with fire is the story of Isabel, a ministers daughter and spinster of 29 that leaves her home in New York to take a position as a teacher in Bittercreek Texas after her father dies. Unknown to her, a single woman in this town is like the last brownie to a room full of dieters.
Enter our hero the local blacksmith Ebaen Walker. He was a nice departure from the usual hero and Ms. Thompson does a great job as weaving humor, romance and the life of the old west in this very human love story.
I enjoyed it completely

This book was worth picking up. I have read almost all of Victoria Thompson's books and this was one of her best. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a troubled, yet funny hero, and a sassy herion.
