What a nice recording. The playing all around is very nice and the sound quality is far above average. Eric Gale was a great guitarist and this recording shows him playing both in a lead and backing role. He did both so well. His playing is clean and relaxed, no one plays like he did. There are so few CDs that feature him throughout that it was such a great treat to listen to this one. If you enjoy unique guitar that is not in your face when played, give this a try.

The instrumentals are outstanding in this collection of Motown songs, with the ensemble of guitar players assemble on this album. What is even more striking are the vocal renditions offered by the late Ali-Ollie Woodson. His voice is extraordinary and well worth the purchase.
