This review is from: Playing Recorder Sonatas: Interpretation and Technique (Paperback)
A STUDY INTO THE INTERPRETATION AND TECHNIQUE FOR MASTERING(PLAYING) RECORDER SONATAS - one of it's kind.

An in-depth look into approach, sound and expression, dynamics, the different syles of playing (eg Italian, French), articulation & slurs, ornamentation & improvisation, further aspects of performance - each time using a Sonata as a framework for analysis/discussion; and finally, a look into a few other notable recorder sonatas.

INDISPENSABLE in gleaning invaluable insights into ADVANCED TECHNIQUES. As a "beginner" or relearner, I am in AWE. No contention in this space.
