This well written book is a major breakthrough towards achieving workplace gender equality. Dr. Adams effectively debunks, with persuading evidence, the theory that inequalities between men and women in the workplace are due to differences in skills, inherent talent, or ambitions. Instead of debating gender differences, companies can use this book as a how-to guide in developing a practical plan for gender inclusion in the workplace. In doing so one can easily see how productivity and job satisfaction may very well increase. This is one of my favorite reads of the year.

This is a wonderfully written book that correctly highlights the false gender stereotypes that have typified workplace relations between men and women. Perhaps the most important consequence of Adams' analysis and recommendations are that they transcend the workplace, making both men and women better, more compassionate people at home and away from the workplace. A solid relationship always comes from a better understanding and empathy for others. Adams writes analytically about workplace structure and the effective implementation of sound suggestions, but equally she is eloquent discussing the role of the "people" behind the job titles and organizations. This is a challenging, provocative book that is a must read for both men and women.
