Jaci Burton's Play by Play books are books you can definitely judge by their covers!

Cole Riley is the bad boy of the NFL and a ladies man, his reputation has caught up to him and in a Hail Mary attempt to save his career his agent, Liz, calls in image consultant, Savannah Brooks. Savannah Brooks is determined to clean up Cole's image because it would be a huge boost to her career.

When Savannah and Cole first meet the attraction is sizzling. Savannah is determined to fight it, she doesn't mix business with pleasure. Cole is determined to convince they can keep it separate. As the two start working together we see there is more to Cole than meets the eye and that the rumors may not always be true. Savannah has reasons to stay away from Cole, reasons that really don't have to do with keeping work separate from personal.

Sparks fly and these two finally do the wild thing. It is wild and Savannah rocks Cole's world, he rocks hers too, but the fact sweet southern girl Savannah rocked this playboy's world makes his head spin. Cole fumbles through the relationship trying to make her see they can have both until he scores an emotional winning touchdown and wins her love!

Playing To Win is a funny, enjoyable, steamy addition to Ms. Burton's Play by Play series. I love the fact that we get to see Mick, Gavin, Liz, Tara, Jenna and Ty. We also get to see Ty and Jenna's beautiful wedding. One last tidbit...Liz is fantastic in Playing to Win.

I liked Savannah and Cole's story, but there was just SOMETHING missing (same with Jenna and Tyler). I think it's because I absolutely LOVED Gavin and Liz and expected the follow ups to be the same caliber. To me, they were not. Liz and Gavin both had an edge, which made their story interesting with lots of chemistry. I did not feel either character had edge, or charisma. Don't get me wrong, even though I wasn't as thrilled with the last two, as soon as Alicia and Garrett is released, I'm buying the Kindle edition the same day!

another great book by mrs. burton... very funny well written... and the sex .... OMG. very HOT.!!!!! looking foward to her next book.
