If you own "The Essential Electric Light Orchestra" released in 2003 then you already have this album. The only difference is this version-like other titles in the Playlist series-features enhanced material that includes liner notes, photos, credits and wallpaper. At any rate, you're getting a great overview of a band that mixed rock with classical to good results.

This collection spans 1972 through 1986. All but one of the tracks here made the Top Forty ("Roll Over Beethoven" reached #42). Of these, six of them made the Top Ten-their highest charting one being "Don't Bring Me Down" reaching #4.

If you like rock and classical music you'll probably like E.L.O.
