But we think the thing you'll appreciate most about this Playlist is that even though you didn't make it, you might wish you did.

Sir-Mix-a-lot is a Seattle rapper best known for the song "Baby Got Back." And yes, this track is included (in two versions) on this collection. But, he has other songs that made a contribution to rap music in the days of "yo! mtv raps," and I am glad to say that they are here as well.

"Posse On Broadway" and "Beepers" are the standout tracks here, but this is a nice collection to be checked out by any fan of rap music.

The cd is kool, but very good songs are not on this cd. I have his 1st record with songs: lets G, mix-a-lot's theam. They need to put them on cd.

Having already been a fan of mix-a-lot for years I wasn't sure there was much point in buying a greatest hits album that has songs I already bought on other albums.

However, upon closer inspection I realized that there are not only 3 completely new tracks on this album, but a newer version of Posse On Broadway, and a rock version of Baby Got Back. Of course you could always purchase the new tracks individually but I chose to just buy the whole thing. I purchased the downloadable version which was a great price and made up of very high quality MP3s. The new tracks on this album sound very much the same style as Daddy's Home. The old tracks are the ones you'd expect to make it on to a greatest hits compilation from each of his previous albums. One exception is Daddy's Home, which doesn't seem to have any tracks represented here. One song I'm surprised to not see here is "Ride" from Chief Boot Knocka.

My favorite new stuff on this album, in decending order:

1) Why do Rappers Lie - This one is pretty standard mix-a-lot. I love it.

2) Posse On Broadway - Thunder Mix - This is the updated version of the old song. A few of the lyrics have been changed and it has more bass. The first time I heard it I wasn't sure about it but after a few listens I decided that I really dig it. If you liked the original song you'll like this one too!

3) Posin Like a Playa - This song features Outtasite who has a voice almost as interesting as Mix-A-Lot's. It is good stuff. "players don't be trippin bout another brotha's money"

4) Pimp Wit It - I like this track too but not as well as the other new ones.

5) Baby Got Back - Rock Mix - This one is starting to grow on me as well but the first time I heard it I was thinking "what the..." It sounds like he's trying to be Disturbed, which is good or bad depending on your point of view.

If you are or ever were a mix-a-lot fan you won't be disappointed with this album. If you never really listened to any of his full albums or anything other than the popular song (you know the one), I recommend giving this a try. Mix-A-Lot is still a pimp!
