Absolutely the best remastered versions of Roy Orbison's classic songs, as of the 2008 release date. Take a quick song sample of "Only The Lonely", and compare it to any previous versions of this song, on any other previous Roy Orbison compilation's sold on Amazon. If you want the best, buy this, and "YOU GOT IT".

This is mostly a great album. (Say) You're My Girl is a fairly weak song in showing off Roy's talents, and I'm sure he has far better examples in his catalog. Also, I'm much more used to Nazareth's version of Love Hurts than the Everly Brothers' version, so I really couldn't get into this cover based solely on the arrangement. It was too "chirpy" and didn't have much force behind it, which I know Roy was capable of.

Aside from that, Roy does a fantastic job and the majority of these songs have real drive and power. I'd list highlights, but the rest of the songs are highlights in their own right.

What more is there to say? It's Roy Orbison, these are some of his very best songs, and the whole download process with Amazon is as slick and easy as can be (without any of the proprietary silliness of some of the competitors).

Personally, I don't see how anyone can 'not like' Roy Orbison. There are recording stars and then there are recording 'artists'. The world has plenty of the former but not many on a the list of the latter. Roy is not only on that list of "artists" but very near the top.

You should also take a look at the "Black & White Night" album...better yet the DVD. This is a live concert with a few of his friends to back him up.
