I love this band, got the chance to see them only once before and they were great! They are a no frills band but what I love about them is they are pure, melodic and have such a unique sound. Lead singer-guitarist/songwriter Glen Phillips has one of those voices that is just so easy to listen to. Buy this CD and you'll know what I mean. This is a collection of their very best but there is one song missing; 'Know Me'(Live) is my second favorite Toad song. Try it you'll love it!

There's three Toad hits albums out, and the official one is the only one that's out of print. Not sure why. That's the "PS" collection. Anyway, this one is good too. The tracklist is a few songs different, and it's a couple songs shorter. I'd seek the other one out myself, but this is better than that Super Hits option. I'm sure alot of people think of Toad as a two-hit wonder which is sad...for them. I'll always love them for their first two albums alone, before they had a hit at all. Surely underrated like the other guy said. Can't wait to see them in March, and yes, this is 2011.

Sorry I missed out on these guys 20 years ago. I just got in on the radio airplay songs they had. Now I am a devout fan

It's hard to find a band as good as Toad The Wet Sprocket. Since meeting up in a Santa Barbara high school in the eighties these four men refined their craft writing, playing and singing some of the greatest rock music of the past 25 years. They got noticed on a national scale after "Fear" displayed some of the band's greatest music. and within a few years of that peak it came to an end as the band broke-up before the end of the ninties.

Led by the great voice of Glen Phillips this disc offers up 14 of the band's best known songs and is a very good way to stick your toes in the pond of Toad The Wet Sprocket. From one of the early live versions of: "Jam" through to: "Come Down" you get a lot of Toad goodness here. The harmonies: of: "All I Want" to frenzy of: "Hold Her Down" to the might and beauty of: "Walk On The Ocean" it will be easy for your ears to find out just how great these guys are.

Sometimes these collection discs really miss the mark, well not this time as the producers of this CD have found 14 great tracks and gave you a great sample of one of America's greatest bands. The only way this could be better if was there was a second disc of 15 more examples of the music of Toad included. If you don't know of this fine band, this CD is a like cool shade from the desert sun.
Four & 1/2 Stars!
