This microphone is okay, but it's nothing great. My daughter likes it, but the biggest disappointment is that it doesn't play the whole song. I even took the battery cover off thinking it was in "Try Me" mode, but it wasn't. For the price, it definitely needs to play the whole song.

My granddaughter loved this toy. We bought the Hannah Montana microphone on sale and it does not work at all. My husband and I spent a frustrating hour trying to tune it into a radio station - then returned it. Then we bought the ICarly one for her birthday. She carried it around for days afterward, singing along with the songs. Months later it is still going strong.

Okay, so I admit, I have sang into this microphone. Myself, my 2yo and my 10yo children play together with this. It has a variety of functions and again, a must have for the ICARLY fan. Plays songs but also acts a microphone. My 2yo has banged it and dropped it but has not broken it yet. Two years and no battery change yet.
