I agree with the other reviewers. I just got this today. She looks different from the picture (and the picture on her box!) and just is not as cute. Also, I love the smell of strawberry shortcake dolls that is why I bought her, but this does not smell like strawberries. I agree it is more of a perfumy powdery scent, not very pleasant. For the money I paid, she is probably worth it. Just not as cute as I was expecting!

I bought this for my then 3 year old daughter. Mainly because I had the original model (and still do) and thought she would love this as much as I adored mine.
Now a year later, she has played with it only once or twice. The facial features on the doll are cartoonish, and not cutesy. It looks cute in the picture, but in person the face is a little weird.
As mentioned by others, the kisses don't smell like strawberry as the original model did.
You can't squeeze her for a kiss without sending her into laughter...and it isn't a cute laugh. And there's no way to turn the sound off. Usually there's an off switch hidden in the body, and there isn't on this.
I gave it 3 stars because it's well made and because overall it is cute. It just didn't make a smash hit at our house like I expected it to. It'll be in my next garage sale to make room for something that she does love.

I think this doll is very cute but I have to agree with the other reviewer. She doesn't look the same in person. She looks very different, her hair doesn't match. She still is cute and I got her at a cheaper price then what they are selling for now. So, I think she was worth it.

Out of all the toys I was buying for my kids for Christmas I was the most excited about this one, she looks so adorable and she blows berry kisses, so sweet!! When I took the doll out of package she didn't blow berry scented kisses she blew yucky powder scented kisses. In fact, the entire doll was covered in an extremely overwhelming powder smell. I have to keep this doll in another room so I don't get nauseated. Also, the doll is not made very well its' arms and legs are not attached to its body they are only glued on underneath the sleeves. The doll is a lot smaller than you would imagine, it has a oddly shaped face and a 70's shag haircut. The doll comes with a bottle but the hole in its' mouth was made to small to actually fit the bottle into it. To my daughter this is not anymore special than her other dolls and to me it is a nightmare and a waste of money. Buy it if you dare!

My kids love strawberry shortcake and they love this toy and can not say anything bad about.

I bought this doll for my now 4yr.old daughter for Dec. "07" Christmas. It was the one thing she REALLY wanted. She was 3 at the time... I'll tell you she ABSOLUTELY LOVES this doll! I guess she did know what she wanted... LOL! My only problem and reason for it not being a better rating is the hair. Normally I like the dolls with the "like real" hair but in this case I found it's quality to be very poor. Within 2mo. of ownership it started to mat terribly. I tried combing and even a little conditioner but, it just got worse! I know this may sound silly and maybe a bit obsessive but, she does sleep with her:) And, my daughter was not rough in any way with this doll. It was and still is her treasured "baby Berry". She still likes to take her on rides (seatbelted of course!) and put her in for a nap before she goes to pre-school. I was actually going to get her a new one this year but, she refused saying, "she won't be the same and, I still love her", "she's special to me!" Although I respected her wishes regarding this (how could you not? Soo precious right?)I may have to replace her:( The only other minor issue is her outfit. The clothes handwash well but the cap sleeves push up exposing the inner cotton body, which has gotten pretty dingy. Because she sleeps with her I want her as sanitary as possible which is hard because you can't really wash her. (only sponge down) Maybe change the style of outfit? But that hair! Fun color but, quality poor:( One note; I got her for a VERY good price otherwise I'd not consider buying another. And depending on how much they've gone up in price, or if I can even find her anymore... I don't know. We'll see.

My 3 year old loves her. she's just the right size. the kisses smell more like powder than strawberries, but no biggie, my daughter loves her anyways.

I'll admit that I think this doll is NOT cute. It's face is all pushed in funny and the features are very strange. Like another person mentioned, her mouth is too small for the bottle that comes with her. Her hair, after a year is out of control and I can't brush it back into place. Because of the way her hair is cut, it's impossible to make it look decent again!
That being said, my 3 y/o daughter adores this doll. It's been her favorite for over a year now. Other than the bad hair issue, it's lasted through a lot!

It's cute, but it doesn't get played with as much as I thought it would.

Love it, it's cute, but you have to remember to turn off the giggle at night if they sleep with it. Also, the strawberry smell is over powering to me, but both my girls love the doll and never put her down!
