Great Toy,

This review is from: Playmobil Crane (Toy)
I purchased this during the summer for my 5 year old son who is a crane fanatic, and he has enjoyed it ever since. My only problem with the crane is the string is beginning to fray, hence the 4 stars! Playmobil has out done themselves, this crane is very realistic and a lot of fun to play with.

My 4 year old can't get enough!,

My 4 year old loves this crane. He plays with it daily and it is very popular among his friends. He actually saw a real-life yellow crane exactly like it in design. This toy is designed to be a crane that can be moved to the worksite and then assembled in 3 easy steps. My son's frequent question: where is the truck to pull it? Maybe next year.

This review is from: Playmobil Crane (Toy)
Our son wanted a crane for Christmas so naturally we caved to his desires and picked up this sweet Playmobil crane. He spends a lot of time watching the Fred Levine series "Little Hardhats" with Rusty and George and is now into the boats / harbors / cranes. That's a really good series in case you are curious. We have used this to dodge the Wiggles and Barney so it's worth the $$. The crane is well constructed but I'm not sure how durable it will be over the long haul. If it lasts a year I'll be surprised. It's an indoor only toy. The tower and arm of the crane are plastic trusses. The crane hook is steel and goes up and down with the press of a button. The crane arm rotates by pressing a button on the crane and the hook moves back and forth along the arm using a third set of buttons. The issue that I see is that if you pick it up and move it the electrical connections can imperceptibly pull apart causing some frustration on the part of the young crane operator. You'd expect that this connection would be a more positive engagement and I was surprised it wasn't better. Otherwise it comes with two dudes who operate the crane, each with a tiny cell phone that will be vacuumed up shortly to the chagrin of the young crane operator. Everything worked out of the box as advertised, and as usual, it arrived on time and in perfect condition from one of Amazon's vendors. I would recommend this with the reservations stated above. Our son doesn't share my concerns and loves it so from that perspective, "mission accomplished".
