Playmobil Ambulance Set

I have a 5 yr old boy who is very detail oriented. He wanted a white ambulance he could put his "injured" firemen into. This was the only white one I could find that actually opened in the back. But it was so much more for him. It has a guirney with a strap and IV (clips onto arm) A cast for the arm, leg and headwrap. It has different "medical equipment" and he can't stop playing with it. The only thing he would have liked is a siren that really makes noise(although this is probably a + for most parents)The blue lights really flash and he just makes the siren noise himself- which I think is adorable. I will definately look into more playmobile toys for him.

My son got this when he was 4 1/2 and he really loves it (he wants to be a paramedic when he grows up). I was surprised at how realistic this toy is...the only downfall to this aspect of the toy is all of the individual parts. When he got the toy, my son had a problem getting all of the pieces in their proper places and putting some of the small items together, but about 6 months later he has figured most of it out. The pieces are kind of small, but I think this has been good for his coordination development. He has found several other imaginative uses for the various parts of this toy, as well. I highly recommend this toy, and any playmobil toy, if the subject matter is something that interests your child.

I bought this toy for my 4 year old as an exchanged birthday gift. He loves emergency vehicles and had been asking for "a rescue vehicle where the doors open and my guys fit in the driver seat". I soon learned on toy store visits this is not as easy an order to fill as one one think. Although "the guys" (which includes a female) have to fit in by removing the windshield,(easily though) or the back door, he loves this toy and plays with it everyday. Although it is more expensive than other models it is defintely worth it and will be challenging enough for upcoming years. I love Playmobil for its durabltity, realistic detail and well thought out versatility. This is the Cadillac of Rescue Vehicles, including a an IV, collapsable stretcher, fire extinguisher and much more. Be ready for at least 30 min of assembly, but if your child is prepared for this it can be a great activity in itself. You have to really check all the little bags for the clear tubing etc (we almost threw one away!) There are even 2 med kits where you even place detailed stickers inside! I work at a hospital so my son wants to know what every detail is called so it is a great toy for building vocabulary. An example of how well thought out Playmobil is; there is a flashing light,( which my son knows is exactly 3 min.. so it can be a timer as well!) but no siren, which is a blessing for parents! Also, I could not find this in any store, it was only available online. I would highly recommend this toy.

As with all the Playmobil pieces my almost four year old daughter has, this ambulance will not disappoint. SO many fantastic details! A little time consuming to put together but totally worth it!

The beauty of Playmobil toys is that they appeal to children of all ages. Our daughter has been enjoying Playmobil for sometime now and I constantly see her discover new aspects of each toy and repurpose the pieces. The ambulance is no exception. Right now for her it is simply a great vehicle toy into which she piles all sorts of other things but as she grows she'll see all the wonderful details inside, like the saline drip and the defibrillator!!

Playmobil has some of the best play sets available. Each set has much more than what buyers would expect for a children's toy. You don't just have an ambulance.
Even better kids can open it, and take out the supplies. The humans are bendable, and youngsters can place their EMS content on their patients. Simply, kids can place the equipment. No snaps. Also, remove the parts just as easily!

My daughters (6 & 8) love the ambulance.
The only negative is that the front doors don't open and there is no access to have
one of the ambulance workers drive the ambulance. The kids don't seem to mind, but
it makes more sense to have a driver, like the camper does.

This was a gift for my 4 yr. old grandson. I was a little concerned about all the small parts. His parents suggest that it would not be appropriate for a younger child, but he is able to manipulate most of the parts, has help with others, and will grow into being able to use them. He is very much into "emergency" people and things and told me the ambulance is "cool". I think it is a gift that will last and stimulate his imagination for years.

My daughter received this toy for Christmas. It has lots of little pieces from oxygen masks to medical bags. Lots of little pieces so not for children who still put toys in their mouth. This toy is worth its money! My daughter even puts her zoo animals in the back and transports them to her imaginary vets office. We also purchased the baby with the incubator which slides into the ambulance perfectly! Great toy and it's made in GERMANY. For us that is a huge plus we have been trying to avoid toys made in China. We love the playmobil brand!

Extremely well made in Germany (not China) with amazing detail. Flashing lights have automatic timer so no leaving it on and having dead batteries, led's for long battery life. First time purchase of Playmobil and many more to follow. You will not be disappointed with it and it is made so well you can keep it for grandchildren later.

Update: The stretcher wheels breaks within a couple of weeks. It isn't designed very well. When you contact Playmobile via email they take a while to respond and ask you to call to buy another stretcher, there is no warranty so you have an ambulance without a stretcher which takes away alot from the fun. Besides the stretcher it is excellent and made extremeely well, I still recommend it highly.

My granddaughter, age 11, wanted the playmobil ambulance to complete her Playmobil Hospital set. She was happy with the gift.
