I got this for my shamu loving 3 year old daughter last Christmas and it is by far the most played with toy we have at our home. She loves it and spends so much time using her little imagination playing with it.The best thing for me is I have it set up on the Kitchen floor so while I am cooking or cleaning she plays with it and isn't under foot.

The Details...
What I like most:
Dolphins can stand all by themselves on their tails to be fed at the side of the pool or to touch the ball.
Dolphins mouths open so they can hold a fish in them.
The swivel spot lights in the spectator area.
This set is much larger then I had anticipated so I felt I really got my money's worth with the amount of items included and the size.
Disappointments:
One of the pegs on the ladder accessory broke quickly (she doesn't play with that part of it much so wasn't a big deal)

I highly recommend this toy. I could spend hours playing with it myself :)

My granddaughter loves dolphins and this Playmobil did not disappoint! Received it in plenty of time for her birthday. Good quality, but then it is Playmobil.

I bought this for my son's 6th birthday. It was a lot bigger than the Playmobil Zoo Penguins set we own! He loves Playmobil. I love that he plays with a toy where he uses his imagination and it does not require batteries! He is always wanting to play with it. If it weren't for his brother being 1 year old, he would get to play with it more.

I bought this item for my 4 year old grandson. He and his 2 year old brother played with it all weekend while I was there. It really held their interest. It was something they woke up in the morning and wanted to play with. Very durable and has a lot of good detail. They pretended it was Sea World. Highly recommend.

In general we are big fans of Playmobil toys but unfortunately I think the Dolphin Basin is overpriced and would most likely not purchase this toy again. The basin/seating area of the toy fall apart easily and there are lots of small parts that have easily been misplaced. My kids have as much fun filling up plastic containers at home with water. The toy set is cute but just not worth the price.

PLEASE!! Do not support this "toy"! Dolphins kept in captivity in most places are not treated well! The one that are captured for "your enjoyment" are not treated well, and the ones that don't get picked are slaughtered for their meat! Please please do not support this industry! Don't teach your kids that it's ok to capture such intelligent creatures and hold them hostage!

Contrary to what my then five year old thought, the animals in the box are not dead, nor were they ever alive. He likes the set and wonders if these are the kind of dolphins that used to end up in cans of tuna fish.
