My son loves dragons and this toy is very good quality.
Raymond Benoit
You would a bit of force to insert the arms into the socket and it would be much easier if you had the flaps of the wings off.
FlyVomit
Right from the start, it was difficult to assemble the wings - it was just so hard to get them fixed into the socket joints.

My son just opened this on Christmas morning and we were beginning to despair about putting on the notorious wings. Here's the thing: the wings and the limbs that the wings attach to are separate pieces. The instructions indicate that you should attach the wings to the limbs before you attach the limbs to the body. But! This is what makes it impossible! It's WAY easier to snap the limbs into the holes on the body BEFORE the wings are attached to them! Just grip the limbs firmly and shove 'em in there. THEN attach the wings. That way, it was a snap! Literally and figuratively!

Okay, it's actually an apparently very durable toy, but it is nigh unto IMPOSSIBLE to get the wings on, as directed. I would recommend putting the pivot pieces into the dragon's back, and then the rest of the wing assembly. It's a snap-fit situation, and the plastic is too stiff to get the wings in place without risk of breaking something, once the wings are otherwise assembled as directed.

As I type this up, I have already wrenched my hands and wrists trying to get the stupid things in, even trying to use make-shift mallets to drive it into place. My husband got one wing on with a lot of difficulty, and our housemate is trying to get the other one on. I'm sure that once it's assembled, it's wonderful, but getting the silly thing assembled is frustrating in the extreme.

As I end this review, we still can't get the left wing attached. It just won't go in. I'm going to see if softening the plastic with boiling water will be effective.

(Edited to add:) So, we took the joint off the wing (it's the part that goes into the shoulder, not the part that the wing sails fit onto), and used a pair of needlenose pliers to push the piece into place. That did the trick. The dragon looks great.

Durable, fun for my 4 year old. The wings are a little hard to get on, but overall it met ours and my sons expectations.

I gave this toy to my grandson (6yrs old) for Christmas and he loved it from the start. Dad helped him put it together and he loves it. He playes with his other dragons along with this one. Great buy!

We are big Playmobil fans and have a lot of Playmobil toys. Usually they are great products, but unfortunately this dragon is terrible. Right from the start, it was difficult to assemble the wings - it was just so hard to get them fixed into the socket joints. And then to add insult to injury, the wings fall out easily (which is bizarre given how hard you have to push them in!) Eventually, on an attempt to reattach, the plastic joint pieces broke. DO NOT BUY. My son is now very disappointed!

We have owned many Playmobil sets since having kids including the hospital set, the circus, the vet and the zoo. We bought this dragon to go with the castle set for my 5 year old. First of all it took me a good 20 minutes and a lot of swearing and Googling to get the wings on. But they don't stay on, nor do the legs. This isn't just a case of "boys play with toys much harder than girls" because every time I even pick up the dragon some piece falls off. Thumbs down!

Our 4 year old son loves this dragon. It has been a great addition to his toy collection...and it really stimulates his imaginative play. The assembly (putting the wings on) was a little difficult, but doable - an adult must do it. I would recommend putting it together prior to giving it to the child.
We purchased this online at Amazon.com and received it in no time at all - which was great because it was a last minute birthday present for our little one.
