5.0 out of 5 stars Super Toy!
Believe it or not, my 10-year-son still plays with his Playmobil knights and pirate. He asked for some new sets for Xmas, and this is one that he received. He plays with it a lot. He LOVES the cave and the "crystal" that the dragon is guarding. He has had no problems with flaking/chipping paint. The wings do come off, but he just puts them back on. No problem.

2.0 out of 5 stars Made in China
This product includes a red dragon of a new design by Playmobil, but I'm afraid it's a downgrade. The dragon's wings are very loose limiting their position to laying folded flat on the back, but since they don't stay in that position for long my son has resorted to taking them off. This product includes a red dragon of a new design by Playmobil, but I'm afraid it's a downgrade. The dragon's wings are very loose limiting their position to laying folded flat on the back, but since they don't stay in that position for long my son has resorted to taking them off. The first day the chalky white paint has already come off the horns, teeth and underside, causing me some concern over the quality of the paint since unlike all other Playmobil products we own this one was made in China, and I had to wash out the plastic cave when I noticed a white chemical smelling substance inside, which may have been fragments of paint or unknown residue of the manufacturing process? From a design standpoint the dragon's jaw opens up, unlike any creature on earth, and the wings and body don't match in color or texture. Furthermore, our box contained a second set of wheels for the ballista rather than the horse. All of these concerns lead me to one startling conclusion: Playmobil's apparent switch to manufacturing in China is a huge mistake, and from now on I will be checking the box and only purchasing Playmobil made in Germany, and maybe Spain or the Czech Republic.

We have quite a few Playmobil sets and this one was disappointing because of the quality of the dragon. The wings on ours don't even snap on, they fall off as soon as we try and put them on. My son plays with them off, but we expect more from Playmobil.

My son loves this set. He loves to knock the wings off the dragon with the catapult! Sometimes the knights end up in his mouth though. The sword stuck in the crystal is a nice touch.

My 6 year old has TONS of Playmobil knights, castles, etc. He got this rock and dragon set for Christmas. This is the flimsiest dragon ever. We have a green dragon that is wonderful, but this red dragon falls apart all of the time. The wings will not stay on, and he seems very cheaply done. I would NOT recommend this product.
