5.0 out of 5 stars A very entertaining match 3 game that is fun to play! October 15, 2012
Verified Purchase
We own about every game Playrix has developed and they are entertaining and fun to play. This game is a combination of a journey through the ancient world while finding hidden objects and touring the ancient lands of Rome, Greece, Troy, Phoenicia, Egypt, Babylon and Carthage. The game has very good graphics and sound effects. There are 54 levels to play and they will take you through the 7 different lands to explore.

You get a history lesson on the ancient worlds and life during those times while you play the game. The graphics are good and this game is challenging. My family has been playing for over 2 years and it has become one of our top 5 games. I can also recommend all of the Playrix games and we actually own them all and they are all enjoyable and fun to play.

This is one of the three games based on the Atlantis series. They are all fun and I believe you will enjoy them all. I recommend them all to you! Get this game now as you will love it!

Edit: The game does progressively get more difficult so save your power-ups, you will need them in the later levels. My wife and I have finished the journey through all of the ancient lands and gone around the map many times. It is a great game.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Free, and not 99 cents, either! March 31, 2013
Verified Purchase
The App Store shows this as being discounted to 99 cents today and shows it as "premium". What it is not up front about is that it is not the whole game, only one level of the game. When you finish that level, it wants you to purchase the rest of the game. This is the same thing that happened awhile back when it was listed as "free".

I believe this is misleading to the buyer. If a game is listed as "free" or discounted, it should be the whole game OR a codicil should be included in the photo/title so one knows right away it is only a sample.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome October 15, 2012

This is by far one of the. best games out there. It has excellant graphics. I like slot games and usually play those because the three in a row games seem pointless, but this game has different levels and playing fields. For the free app of the day it is the best value. that amazon. ever had.

1.0 out of 5 stars Update adds network permissions October 30, 2012
Verified Purchase
So sad. Decent enough game but the addition of network permissions in the most recent update sucks. What is the need for data mining in a paid app? I guess the developers think they slip the new permissions past most people in an update now that their feedback is so high.

Match 3s is one of my most favorite game genres, right up there with classic RPGs, but this one is a bit more of an irritant:

a) "Drop to bottom various keys to solve" without variation. I normally don't mind this style, but I found this to be more of a drag than fun, and that is because of the following points.

b) Timed play with Limited Lives

c) Seems to overly rely in Powerups than actual match play to solve, from the charging Amulet for making 4 or more matches, and then zapping a load of tiles, to the expendable bonus powers you can try to collect, but seems heavily slanted to make it especially difficult. All but once did I manage to get an extra expendable powerup; every other single time, even when I tried my best to avoid it, I ended completing the level before I could get that expendable into my inventory. Irritating.

d) Drop down tile rate is not particularly well designed. I kept getting "No Matches", starting from the third (THIRD!!) level played in Rome. In fact, over and over, the "locked" tile placements (the usual run of chains, frozen, double chains, etc), along with tile rate drops, seemed to be again slanted to the use of powerups - Greece (Round 4) had to be zapped three times with Amulet once I realized I simply wasn't getting any appropriate tiles and began concentrating on just making random +4 matches to power up the Amulet. The round before that, I had to use not only the Amulet multiple times but also two expendables because the rows of locked pieces on each side were getting near ZERO drop matches in the adjacent columns (as in the next two columns on either side had no matching pieces) That's on both sides, with six locked pieces each.

2.0 out of 5 stars DROIDX2 crashes... October 15, 2012
By bgmart

I enjoyed this while it worked. On DX2 it would crash between each level, but save progress. Then after finishing the hidden picture game it will crash and not save progress. Looks like it would be a fun game if I could play it.

good game to pass the time....some strategy involved and more challenging as you progress.make sure to try the extra assists as you earn them as they are not explained in detail to avoid running out of time and having to repeat stages.
